Step-by-Step Instructions:

Lower Exhaust (Optional on Some Models):
- For easier installation, lower the exhaust by removing the (2) bolts from each exhaust hanger using a 12 mm socket (4 bolts total, 2 per hanger).
- Support the exhaust with a bungee cord before removing the bolts.

Clean Weldnuts:
- Remove the stickers covering the (2) weldnuts on the side of each frame rail.
- Use an M12 x 1.25 tap to clean the weldnuts as necessary.

Install Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position, sliding the brackets above the exhaust pipe.
- Align the bracket holes to the frame rail weldnuts and loosely install the provided M12 bolts and conical washers.
- On the passenger side, use an 18 mm crowfoot wrench due to narrow space around the frame rail.

Torque Bolts:
- Tighten all M12 fasteners to 76 ft-lbs (103 N*m) using a torque wrench with an 18 mm socket.

Raise Exhaust:
- Reattach the exhaust to the hangers using the bolts removed earlier.
Hardware List:
- (4) Bolt M12 x 1.25 x 30 CL8.8
- (4) Conical Washer 1/2"

Installation Instructions for T-One® T-Connector for Lexus NX

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Open the Rear Hatch:
- Temporarily remove the rear threshold plate, privacy screen, storage covers, and floor covering.
- Fold the rear seats forward.

Access the Vehicle’s Wiring:
- Remove the rear cargo hooks on both the driver’s and passenger’s sides using a 10mm socket or wrench.
- Pull back the felt side panels to expose the vehicle’s wiring connectors.

Locate and Disconnect the Taillight Wiring Harness:
- Locate the taillight wiring harness connectors on both sides of the vehicle.
- Carefully disconnect the connectors, ensuring not to damage the locking tabs. Ensure all surfaces are clean and free of dirt.

Connect the Driver-Side T-Connector:
- Insert the T-One® Connector end with the yellow wire between the driver-side wiring connectors and lock it into place.
- Ensure the connectors are fully inserted and securely locked.

Mount the Black Box:
- Mount the T-One® Connector black box on the driver’s side using the provided double-sided tape.
- Secure the remaining harness with the provided cable ties to prevent damage or rattling.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the black box, such as an existing ground stud, or drill a 3/32” hole.
- Secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw. Clean dirt and rustproofing from the grounding area.

Route the Passenger-Side T-Connector:
- Route the connector containing the green wire across the threshold and behind the passenger-side felt panel to the taillight pocket.

Connect the Passenger-Side T-Connector:
- Insert the T-One® Connector end with the green wire between the passenger-side wiring connectors and lock it into place.
- Ensure the connectors are fully inserted with locking tabs securely engaged.

Route the Power Wire:
- Disconnect the vehicle’s Negative (-) battery cable.
- Remove the fuse from the yellow fuse holder.
- Attach the ring terminal to the Positive (+) battery cable and secure it.
- Connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black 12-gauge wire using the yellow butt connector provided.

Install the Power Wire:
- Route the black 12-gauge wire from the battery along the frame rail, avoiding hot pipes, heat shields, and areas that may pinch or damage the wire.

Connect the Power Wire to the Black Box:
- Attach the black 12-gauge wire to the power wire on the T-One® Connector black box using the provided yellow butt connector.

Reconnect the Battery and Test:
- Reconnect the Negative (-) battery cable and install the 15-amp fuse into the fuse holder.
- Test the installation using a test light or trailer. Reset the vehicle’s electrical system by temporarily removing the key from the ignition.

Reassemble the Vehicle:
- Replace all trim panels, thresholds, floor coverings, and cargo storage covers removed during installation.
- Ensure no wires are pinched or damaged.

Store the 4-Flat Connector:
- Store the 4-flat connector in the rear cargo area when not in use.
- When in use, route the connector carefully to avoid pinching in the door latch.
