Installation Instructions for Chevrolet Bolt EV (2022-Current)
Part Numbers:

- Ratchet
- Torque Wrench
- Safety Glasses
- Sockets: 11/16"
- T15 Torx Bit
- Flat Head Screwdriver
- Drill with 1/2" Drill Bit
- Marker
- 6" Socket Extension
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Loosen Fascia and Remove Panel Door:
- Using a T15 Torx bit, remove (2) screws from the bottom panel door.
- Remove the panel door and return it along with the screws to the owner.
- Using a flat head screwdriver and T15 Torx bit, remove (2) rivets from the bottom center fascia and (1) screw from each side of the fascia. Retain all fasteners for reinstallation.

Drill and Enlarge Holes:
- Raise the hitch into position and align it with the forward attachment holes.
- Use a marker to mark the drill point for the rearward driver-side hole at the hitch bracket's center.
- Ensure the hitch is straight and aligned with the markings.
- Lower the hitch and drill a 1/2" hole at the marked location.
- Enlarge the rearward passenger-side attachment hole to 1/2" using the drill.

Install Hitch:
- Use pull wires to feed the 7/16" carriage bolts and spacers through the access holes to the attachment holes.
- Leave the pull wires attached.
- Gently pull the fascia and raise the hitch into position, feeding the pull wires through the hitch bracket holes.
- Remove the pull wires and loosely install the conical washers (teeth side against the hitch) and hex nuts.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Torque all 7/16"-14 GR5 fasteners to 50 ft-lb (68 N*m) using a torque wrench.

Reinstall Rivets and Screws:
- Reinstall the rivets and screws removed in Step 1.
Hardware List:
- (4) Carriage Bolt, 7/16"-14 x 1.50" GR5
- (4) Spacer, 1/4" x 7/8" x 3.0"
- (4) Conical Washer, 7/16"
- (4) Hex Nut, 7/16"-14
- (4) Pull Wire, 7/16"-14
Safety Notes:
- Always wear safety glasses during installation.
- Regularly check the hitch to ensure all fasteners and the ball are securely tightened.
- Plug any removed holes in the trunk pan or body panels to prevent water or exhaust fumes from entering.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
