Step-by-Step Instructions:

Prepare Vehicle:
- Lower the carbon canister from the driver’s side frame rail if present.
- Disconnect the factory-installed optional driver’s side trailer wiring connector and reposition it rearward.

Position Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position, aligning it with existing holes in the vehicle frame.

Install Fasteners:

For E150 and E250 (Pre-1997 Models):
- Insert 9/16"-18 x 2" GR5 bolts through the frame and hitch.
- Use spacer blocks, flat washers, and flanged locknuts to secure the bolts.

For E250 Super (Pre-1997 Models):
- Install fasteners as shown, ensuring blocks are added between the frame and receiver.

For E350 Super (All Models After 1997):
- Install 2 blocks (5493) between the frame and receiver at the center attachment point.

Drill Holes:
- Use the hitch as a template to drill 9/16" holes in the frame, ensuring clearance from carbon canisters or other components.

Secure All Fasteners:
- Tighten 9/16"-18 GR5 fasteners to 110 lb-ft.

Reinstall Vehicle Components:
- Reattach the carbon canister and reposition the trailer wiring connector to its original or an appropriate location for clearance.
Torque Specifications:
- 9/16"-18 GR5 bolts: 110 lb-ft
