1. Remove the Taillight Assemblies:

   • Open the tailgate and remove the vehicle’s right-side taillight assembly by removing the two clips holding it in place.
   • Carefully pry the housing away from the vehicle, being careful not to break the alignment tabs.
   • Repeat this process for the left-side taillight assembly.

2. Locate the Vehicle’s Taillight Wiring Harness:

   • On both the driver’s and passenger’s sides, locate the vehicle’s taillight wiring harness.
   • The harness will have a connection point on both sides matching the T-Connector ends.
   • Separate the connectors carefully to avoid breaking the locking tabs. Ensure all connector surfaces are clean and free of dirt.

3. Install the Driver-Side T-Connector:

   • Insert the T-Connector end with the yellow wire between the driver’s side vehicle wiring connectors.
   • Lock the connectors in place, ensuring the locking tabs are secure and the connectors are fully inserted.

4. Route the T-Connector Wiring:

   • Route the harness containing the green wire and the 4-flat connector down the opening behind the taillight on the driver’s side.
   • Route the 4-flat harness underneath to the center of the vehicle.
   • Route the harness containing the green wire underneath the vehicle and up through the opening behind the passenger’s side taillight.

   • Avoid routing wires near hot pipes, heat shields, the fuel tank, or any points that may pinch or break the wires.

5. Install the Passenger-Side T-Connector:

   • Repeat step 3 for the passenger side using the T-Connector with the green wire.

6. Ground the White Wire:

   • Locate a suitable grounding point on the driver’s side near the connectors.
   • Drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire with the provided eyelet and screw.

   Caution:

   • Verify what is behind any surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury. Do not drill into any exposed surfaces.

7. Connect the Power Wire:

   • Disconnect the vehicle’s negative (-) battery cable.
   • Remove the fuse from the yellow fuse holder. Cut the fuse holder wire and attach the ring terminal to the vehicle’s positive (+) battery cable.
   • Connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black 12-gauge wire using the provided yellow butt connector.

8. Route the Power Wire:

   • Route the black wire from the engine compartment to the rear driver’s side of the vehicle.
   • Connect the black wire to the red power wire on the T-Connector’s black box using the yellow butt connector.

   Warning:

   • Avoid routing the wire near hot pipes, heat shields, or the fuel tank.

9. Reconnect the Battery:

   • Reconnect the vehicle’s negative (-) battery cable.
   • Insert the 10-amp fuse into the fuse holder.
