Installation Instructions for T-One® T-Connector for Subaru Ascent

Tools Required:
- Trim Panel Remover
- 10mm Socket & Ratchet or 10mm Wrench
- Drill (3/32” Drill Bit)
- 1/4” Socket
- Phillips Head Screwdriver
- Test Probe
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Prepare the Vehicle:
- Open the rear tailgate.
- On the driver’s side, remove the access panels, threshold, trunk floor panels, and trays.
- Set aside all items carefully to avoid damage.

Locate the 8-Pin Connector:
- Find the vehicle’s 8-pin connector behind the rear interior trim panel on the driver’s side.
- Insert the 8-Pin Tow-Plug Adapter into the connector and lock it securely in place.

Ground the White Wire:
- Using a trim panel remover, carefully pull back the interior trim panel on the driver’s side.
- Locate the existing ground stud.
- Loosen the bolt, place the screw eyelet on the stud, and retighten the bolt.
Caution: Ensure all other ground connections are secure when removing and reattaching the ground stud.

Test the Installation:
- Verify all connections are complete for the T-One® T-Connector to function properly.
- Use a test light or trailer to test the installation.
- For the initial test, reset the vehicle’s electrical system by temporarily removing the key from the ignition.

Store the 4-Flat Connector:
- Store the 4-flat connector in the rear cargo area when not in use.
