Installation Instructions for Ford Econoline Van (All Models)

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Lower Carbon Canister:
- If present, lower the carbon canister from the driver’s side frame rail.

Disconnect Factory Wiring:
- Disconnect the factory-installed optional driver’s side trailer wiring connector from the bumper.

Position Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position and attach it using the fasteners provided.
- Ensure a block is sandwiched between the hitch and the frame at the middle attachment point.

Reconnect Wiring Connector:
- Reinstall the factory trailer wiring connector, ensuring it clears the hitch.

Reattach Carbon Canister:
- If a carbon canister is present, ensure it does not contact the bolt head.
- If necessary, loosen the canister fasteners and reposition it to ensure clearance with the bolt head.
Torque Specifications:
- Tighten all 9/16"-18 GR5 fasteners to 120 lb-ft (163 N*m).
