Installation Instructions for Ford Econoline Van (All Models)

• Wrenches: 13/16", 7/8"

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Lower Carbon Canister:

   • If present, lower the carbon canister from the driver’s side frame rail.

2. Disconnect Factory Wiring:

   • Disconnect the factory-installed optional driver’s side trailer wiring connector from the bumper.

3. Position Hitch:

   • Raise the hitch into position and attach it using the fasteners provided.
   • Ensure a block is sandwiched between the hitch and the frame at the middle attachment point.

4. Reconnect Wiring Connector:

   • Reinstall the factory trailer wiring connector, ensuring it clears the hitch.

5. Reattach Carbon Canister:

   • If a carbon canister is present, ensure it does not contact the bolt head.
   • If necessary, loosen the canister fasteners and reposition it to ensure clearance with the bolt head.

Torque Specifications:

• Tighten all 9/16"-18 GR5 fasteners to 120 lb-ft (163 N*m).
