Step-by-Step Instructions:
Pre-Installation:

Prepare Vehicle:
- Lower and remove the spare tire for additional working space.
- Remove the inner plastic wheel well liner for frame access.

Inspect and Clear Frame:
- Remove the parking brake cable hanger from the driver-side frame.
- Detach electrical harness hanger plugs near the fuel tank.
- For 6.5’ beds, use a reciprocating saw to remove the extension attached to the truck box support beams.
Installation Steps:
1. Position and Mark Rear Mounting Rail:
- Place the rear mounting rail in the truck bed.
- Center the rail between the weld seams and measure the correct distance from the rear edge.
- Mark and center punch hole positions.
2. Drill and Enlarge Holes:
- Drill pilot holes with a 1/8” bit, then enlarge to 9/16”.
- For row 2, enlarge bed holes only to 1-1/4”.
3. Install Frame Brackets:
- Loosely attach the frame brackets using the provided straps, bushings, carriage bolts, lock washers, and nuts.
- Route the ground wire through the driver-side bracket.
4. Position and Secure Mounting Rails:
- Place the rear mounting rail into position.
- Use U-shaped spacers to prevent crushing bed corrugations.
- Attach with spacers, bolts, and nuts.
5. Align and Install Front Rail:
- Align the front rail using the fifth-wheel hitch for positioning.
- Repeat the drilling and installation process.
6. Torque Fasteners:
- Torque all 1/2” hardware to 110 ft-lbs.
- Tighten parking brake cable hanger bolts and reinstall the spare tire.
Important Notes:
- Mounting rails must not be installed over plastic bed liners. Cut liners for metal-to-metal contact.
- Ensure proper alignment and clearances for safe operation.
- Use only Grade 8 bolts, nuts, and washers provided with the kit.

- Inspect bolts annually and re-torque as needed.
- Repaint drilled areas to prevent rust.
