Installation Instructions for 2013 Acura RDX Crossover

Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare Weldnuts
- Locate (2) existing weldnuts in the rear of the vehicle frame.
- Clean weldnuts using spray lubricant or compressed air. Use a small wire brush for heavy debris, being careful not to damage threads.
Step 2: Position the Hitch
- Raise the hitch into position, aligning the slots in the hitch with the weldnuts in the frame.
- Loosely secure the hitch with M12 bolts and 1/2" conical toothed washers.
Step 3: Insert Handle Nut
- Bend the tab on the 1/2-13 handle nut and insert it into the access hole in the vehicle frame.
- Center the handle nut over the open bolt hole in the frame.
Step 4: Secure with Additional Hardware
- Use 1/2-13 hex bolts and 1/2" conical toothed washers. Insert the hardware through the hitch plate and vehicle frame into the handle nut and tighten.
Step 5: Torque Fasteners
- Torque all 1/2" hardware to 110 ft-lbs.
- Torque all M12 hardware to 86 ft-lbs.
Step 6: Complete Installation
- Verify all fasteners are properly tightened and structural components are secure.

- (2) M12 x 1.25 x 40mm Hex Bolts (Part Number: 10-102772)
- (1) 1/2-13 UNC x 1-1/2" Hex Bolt (Part Number: 10-103342)
- (3) 1/2" Conical Toothed Washers (Part Number: 30-001494)
- (1) 1/2-13 Handle Nut (Part Number: 20-001742)
Safety Notes:
- Safety glasses must be worn at all times during installation.
- Periodically check the hitch to ensure all fasteners are tight and structural components are sound.
