Installation Instructions for Audi Q7 SUV (2017-Present)

Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Remove Screws from Wheel Wells
- Use a T25 Torx bit screwdriver to remove four screws from each wheel well.
- Pull back the wheel liner to expose and remove one additional screw.
Step 2: Remove Underside Screws
- Use a T25 Torx bit to remove four screws from the bottom of each wheel well liner.
- Remove four screws from the middle underside area of the fascia.
Step 3: Remove Upper Trim and Expose Additional Screws
- Carefully remove the body trim piece at the upper wheel well.
- Remove two screws exposed using a T25 Torx bit.
- Use plastic body panel tools for ease of removal if necessary.
Step 4: Disconnect Electrical Connectors and Remove Bumper Fascia
- Disconnect all electrical connectors from lights and sensors along the bumper fascia.
- Gently pull off the bumper fascia, starting near the wheels and moving towards the trunk.
Step 5: Remove Bumper Beam
- Use an 18mm socket to remove four bolts on each side of the bumper beam.
- Remove the bumper beam and place the hitch on the end panel.
- Place the bumper beam on top of the hitch.
Step 6: Install the Hitch
- Raise the hitch and bumper beam into position, aligning the holes with the weldnuts.
- Loosely secure the hitch and bumper beam using the bolts removed in Step 5.
- Torque all bolts to 58 lb-ft.
Step 7: Trim the Fascia
- Unclip the kick sensor wire from inside the bumper fascia and move it away from the trim area.
- Measure the trim area on the fascia using the provided dimensions: 7.25" width, 3.50" height, and 1.75" depth.
- Mark the area with masking tape and trim the section using a rotary tool.
Step 8: Reinstall the Fascia
- Reinstall the fascia removed in Step 4.
- Reattach the kick sensor wire after the fascia is reinstalled.
Step 9: Recalibrate Sensors
- Note: Sensors may require additional dealer recalibration.
Hardware List:
- No additional hardware required; existing vehicle hardware is reused.
Safety Notes:
- Wear safety glasses during installation.
- Periodically check the hitch to ensure all fasteners are tight and structural components are sound.
Warnings:
- Do not exceed the vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity.
- All non-trailer loads must be supported by stabilizing straps (Part #18050) to prevent damage and voiding the warranty.
