This particular class 2 hitch is made to be a custom hitch for certain years of the Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ (to verify vehicle compatibility, see application info) It offers a weight carrying capacity of 3,500 lbs GTW and 350 lbs.

Installation Instructions for Ford Fusion Sport / Lincoln MKZ 3.0T Sedan (2017-Present)

Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Remove the Lower Rear Air Deflector
- Remove three formed nuts and one plastic nut using a 10mm socket.
- Remove six screw-and-washer fasteners from the bumper fascia using a 7mm socket.
- Return the fascia piece and hardware to the vehicle owner.
Step 2: Lower the Muffler and Remove the Heat Shield
- Remove three exhaust hangers: one on each side and one in front of the muffler.
- Temporarily remove the heat shield by removing nine formed nuts using a 10mm socket.
Step 3: Fishwire the Hardware
- Fishwire the 1/2" bolts and spacer blocks through the access holes in both frame rails for the bottom frame holes.
- Fishwire the 7/16" bolts and spacer blocks through the same holes and into the side mounting holes.
- Leave the fishwires on all fasteners and keep the 7/16" bolts in the frame until the hitch is in position.
Step 4: Mount the Hitch
- Raise the hitch into position.
- Secure it using 1/2" flange nuts and 7/16" flange nuts with 3/4" and 11/16" sockets, respectively.
Step 5: Torque the Hardware
- Torque all 7/16" fasteners to 59 lb-ft.
- Torque all 1/2" fasteners to 110 lb-ft.
- Reinstall the heat shield and exhaust removed in Step 2.
