Installation Instructions for Chevrolet Traverse / Buick Enclave (2018-Present)

Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Remove the rear fascia.
- Open the tailgate and pry open the four plastic covers below the taillights.
- Remove four screws (two on each side) using a 7mm socket.
- Remove two screws connecting the bottom edge of the fascia to the metal support tabs using a T20 socket.
- Remove eight screws securing the wheel well liner to the fascia using a T15 socket (four on each side).
- Gently pull back the wheel well trim and remove two screws (one on each side) connecting the fascia to the vehicle body with a 7mm socket.
- Starting from the wheel well, gently pull off the fascia and unplug any attached wiring.
Step 2: Remove the bumper beam.
- Use a 15mm socket to remove four M10 nuts (two on each side) from the top bumper attachments. Set the nuts aside for reinstallation.
- Remove four M10 bolts (two on each side) from the bottom bumper attachments. These bolts also secure the exhaust hangers, so ensure the exhaust is supported before removal.
- Return the bumper beam and bolts to the vehicle owner.
Step 3: Install the hitch.
- Raise the hitch into position over the bumper studs.
- Secure the hitch using the nuts removed earlier.
- Reattach the exhaust hangers using the M10 bolts and conical-toothed washers (teeth side facing the hitch).
- Fishwire the carriage bolts and spacers into the vehicle frame through the access hole in the hitch.
- Secure the bolts with serrated flange nuts.
Step 4: Torque the hardware.
- Tighten all 1/2" hardware to 110 ft-lbs using a torque wrench.
- Tighten all M10 hardware to 45 ft-lbs.
Step 5: Reinstall the fascia.
- Reverse the process used in Step 1 to reinstall the fascia.
- Reconnect any wiring that was unplugged.
- Note: The vehicle fascia has a removable panel for hitch usage. The panel can be replaced when the hitch is not in use.
