Installation Instructions for Audi A4 Sedan (2017-Present)

Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Remove Fasteners from the Rear Fascia
- Using a 10mm socket, remove (2) hex nuts securing the rear plastic fascia to the bottom of the trunk pan.
- Save the nuts for reinstallation in Step 9.
Step 2: Remove Spare Tire and Jack Tool Kit
- Remove the spare tire and jack tool kit from the trunk.
Step 3: Prepare the Frame and Drain Holes
- Use a utility knife to cut through the frame sealer and remove (2) rearmost rubber drain plugs from the bottom of the trunk pan. Return the plugs to the vehicle owner.
- Note: Detach the hands-free trunk release sensor from the rear fascia and move it away from the trim area.
Step 4: Trim the Rear Fascia
- Mark the trim area on the fascia using masking tape and a tape measure. Refer to the Trim Diagram for dimensions (5.00" wide by 5.50" tall at the center).
- Use a rotary tool to carefully trim the fascia.
Step 5: Insert Bolt Plates
- Insert (2) 1/2"-13 x 4-1/2" bolts into each bolt plate.
- Gently pull the fascia down and place the bolt plates on top of each bumper beam extension.
Step 6: Position and Secure the Hitch
- Raise the hitch into position, guiding the bolts through the slots in the hitch.
- Loosely secure the hitch using (4) 1/2" hex flange nuts.
Step 7: Seal Drain Holes and Add Hardware
- Seal the drain holes in the trunk pan with silicone caulk.
- Insert the provided 11448-SP spacer and 1/2"-13 x 1-1/2" carriage bolts into each drain hole with flanges outward.
- Secure the hardware to the hitch using 1/2" hex flange nuts.
Step 8: Torque the Hardware
- Torque the (4) hex flange nuts securing the 1/2"-13 x 4-1/2" bolts to the side plates to 75 ft-lbs.
- Torque the (2) hex flange nuts securing the mounting plate to 110 ft-lbs.
- Return the spare tire and jack tool kit to the trunk.
Step 9: Reinstall Components
- Reinstall the hands-free trunk sensor into its clips on the driver's side. Guide the sensor across the trim area and behind the mounting plate, securing it into clips on the passenger side.
- Reinstall the (2) hex nuts removed in Step 1 using a 10mm socket.
Installation Complete

- (4) 1/2"-13 Hex Flange Nuts

- WARNING: Never exceed the vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity.
- WARNING: All non-trailer (wheel-less) loads must be supported by stabilizing straps (#18050). Failure to properly support such loads will void the product warranty.

- Periodically inspect the hitch to ensure all fasteners remain tight and all structural components are sound.
