Step 1: Remove the underbody panel
- Use a flathead screwdriver to remove four (4) push fasteners.
- Use a 14mm socket to loosen three (3) nuts securing the underbody panel.
- Return the panel and fasteners to the vehicle owner.
Step 2: Install the hitch
- Raise the hitch into position.
- Loosely secure it using six (6) M10 bolts (#1) and six (6) conical-toothed washers (#2).
- Note: Lower the exhaust if needed to ease installation.
Step 3: Tighten hardware
- Torque all M10 bolts to 48 ft-lbs.
Hardware List:
- (6) Hex bolts, M10 x 1.25–35mm, CL 10.9 (#1)
- (6) Conical-toothed washers, 7/16” (#2)

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Disconnect the Battery:
- Locate the vehicle battery on the driver side in the engine compartment.
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal and secure it away from the battery during installation.

Remove the Plastic Shroud:
- Locate the plastic shroud below the driver-side rear bumper cover.
- Remove the three push fasteners and the two 14mm bolts attached to the shroud.

Connect the Custom Wiring Harness:
- Remove the dust cover from the factory harness, taking care not to damage the locking tabs.
- Insert the custom wiring harness into the OEM harness.
- Ensure the connectors are fully inserted and the locking tabs are securely in place.

Install the Fuse:
- Locate the fuse in the bag kit and insert it into the fuse holder of the custom wiring harness.

Mount the Converter Box:
- Find a flat, clean spot near the factory harness area.
- Adhere the black converter box using the provided double-sided tape.

Route the 4-Flat Connector:
- Route the 4-flat wiring along the back of the vehicle to the hitch.
- Secure any loose wires with the provided cable ties.

Reinstall Components and Test:
- Reinstall all items removed during the installation, including the plastic shroud.
- Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
- Install the provided 4-flat dust cover to prevent corrosion.
- Test the system using a test light, 4-flat tester, or functioning trailer.
Safety Notes:
- Warning: Do not exceed the product rating or tow vehicle lamp load rating.
- Ensure the battery connection is fuse-protected (15-amp max).
