Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Disconnect the Negative Battery Terminal
- Locate the vehicle battery as specified in the owner's manual.
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal and secure it away from the battery to prevent accidental contact during installation.
Step 2: Remove the Driver-Side Taillight
- Open the vehicle tailgate.
- Remove any fasteners securing the driver-side taillight using a socket or flathead screwdriver.
- Carefully pull the taillight rearward to avoid damaging alignment tabs.
Step 3: Connect the T-Connector on the Driver Side
- Locate the vehicle's taillight wiring harness behind the removed taillight.
- Disconnect the factory wiring harness from the taillight housing.
- Plug the custom T-connector with the yellow wire in-line with the factory wiring harness and taillight assembly.
- Secure the connections, ensuring the locking tabs are engaged.
Step 4: Ground the White Wire
- Locate a solid grounding point near the driver-side wiring harness, such as a clean, rust-free bolt or a bare section of the vehicle frame.
- If no grounding point is available, drill a 3/32" pilot hole and use the provided screw to secure the white ground wire with its ring terminal.

Step 5: Route the Green Wire to the Passenger Side
- Use a fish wire to route the green wire along the rear bumper to the passenger-side taillight.
- Repeat Steps 2 and 3 on the passenger side, using the green wire T-connector.
Step 6: Secure the Converter Box
- Locate a flat, clean surface near the driver-side taillight, away from road spray and debris.
- Attach the black converter box to this surface using the provided double-sided tape.
- Use cable ties to secure the box and prevent it from moving.
- Warning: Failure to mount the box in a protected area can cause product failure, overheating, and potential fire.
Step 7: Route the Black Power Wire to the Battery
- Connect the black power wire to the converter box and route it to the vehicle's battery.
- Secure the wire along the vehicle's frame, avoiding moving parts, sharp edges, and heat sources.
- Use the included fuse holder to connect the black wire to the positive battery terminal.
- Insert the provided fuse into the fuse holder.
Step 8: Finalize Installation

- Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
