Step-by-Step Instructions:

Lower Exhaust System:
- Remove the rubber isolator hangers from the metal pegs behind and in front of the mufflers on both sides of the vehicle.
- Also, lower the rubber isolator hangers supporting the exhaust near the rear axle.
- Spray lubricant on the rubber isolators for easier removal.

Remove Existing Bolts:
- Remove the 8mm bolts from the frame end panels on both sides of the vehicle and return them to the owner, as they will be replaced.

Remove Plastic Push Rivets:
- Detach the plastic push rivets securing the plastic bumper cover on both sides of the bumper bottom. Save them for reinstallation.

Remove and Trim Heat Shields:
- Detach both muffler heat shields (secured with three bolts each) from the frame bottom.
- Trim approximately a 4-1/4” x 4-1/4” corner from both heat shields. See the diagram for specific details.
- Reinstall the trimmed heat shields before installing the hitch.

Position and Secure Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into place.
- Use the supplied M8-1.25 bolts and washers to attach the hitch to the weldnuts where the 8mm bolts were removed in Step 2.

Install Additional Bolts:
- Insert the supplied M10-1.25 bolts with flat washers through the hitch and existing holes in the frame end panels. Secure with conical toothed washers and M10 hex nuts.
- Install the supplied M10-1.25 bolts and conical toothed washers through the hitch side arms into the existing frame weldnuts.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Torque all 8mm-1.25 Gr. 9.8 bolts to 25 Lb.-Ft. (34 N*M).
- Torque all 10mm-1.25 Gr. 8.8 bolts to 42 Lb.-Ft. (57 N*M).

Reattach Exhaust System:
- Reinstall all rubber exhaust hangers, including those near the axle.

- (2) M8-1.25 x 55mm Gr. 9.8 Bolts
- (4) M10-1.25 x 40mm Gr. 8.8 Hex Bolts
- (4) Conical Toothed Washers (7/16”)
- (2) Hex Nuts (M10-1.25)

Installation Instructions for T-Connector Adapter for Honda Crosstour and Acura RDX

Step-by-Step Instructions:
For Honda Crosstour:

Prepare the Rear Cargo Area:
- Open the rear hatch.
- Temporarily remove all floor coverings and the center storage bin.

Locate the Tow Plug:
- Locate the blue tow plug at the rear of the vehicle under the driver’s side trim panel. The plug is taped to the wire harness with blue tape.
- Insert the T-Connector harness into the vehicle’s tow plug harness and lock it into place.

Insert the Fuse:
- Open the hood and locate the fuse box on the driver’s side.
- Insert the 15-amp fuse provided into the empty fuse slot.

Route the 4-Flat Connector:
- Route the 4-flat connector through the driver’s side trim panel into the side storage compartment. Store the connector there when not in use.

Mount the T-Connector Black Box:
- On the driver’s side, locate a flat surface in an out-of-the-way location.
- Mount the T-Connector’s black converter box using the provided double-sided tape.
For Acura RDX:

Prepare the Rear Cargo Area:
- Open the rear hatch.
- Temporarily remove all floor coverings, exposing the spare tire compartment.
- Remove the spare tire.

Locate the Tow Plug:
- Locate the blue 6-pin tow plug near the foam cargo tray. It is taped to the vehicle's electrical harness with blue tape.
- Insert the T-Connector harness into the vehicle’s tow plug harness and lock it into place.

Mount the T-Connector Black Box:
- Locate a flat surface under the foam cargo tray.
- Mount the T-Connector’s black converter box using the provided double-sided tape.

Store the 4-Flat Connector:
- Store the 4-flat connector in the spare tire compartment when not in use.

Test the Installation:
- Ensure all connections are complete for the T-Connector to function properly.
