Installation Instructions for T-One® T-Connector (Product Number: 22111) ### Part Numbers: - 22111 - 22111-037 (Rev. A, 6/25/2014) ### Equipment Required: - Trim Panel Remover - 10mm Socket & Ratchet or 10mm Wrench - 1/4” Socket - Wire Cutters - Test-probe ### Hardware List: - (1) T-One® T-Connector Harness - (1) 7-Way Connector (Car End) - (1) 10 Amp Fuse (Provided) - (2) 30 Amp Fuses (Provided) - Cable Ties (Provided) ### Tools Needed: - (2) 1-1/8” Wrenches or Large Adjustable Wrenches ### Step-by-Step Instructions: 1. Locate the Towplug: - Locate the vehicle’s towplug under the vehicle on the passenger side near the right side of the muffler. - Reach up into the opening to locate the grey towplug. Disconnect the protective cover and discard. - Connect the towplug harness to the mating harness, ensuring that the connectors are clean and fully inserted with locking tabs in place. 2. Route 7-Way Connector: - Route the 7-Way connector to the center of the vehicle. - Mount the 7-Way end in an accessible location using a bracket or electrical box (not included). Note: See the 7-Way diagram for wire locations. 3. Remove Taillight Housing Assemblies: - Open the rear door and remove both taillight housing assemblies by removing the two bolts for each light. - Carefully pry the housing assemblies away from the vehicle, ensuring not to break the alignment tabs. 4. Route Harness and Connect Green Wire: - Route the harness containing the green wire underneath the vehicle, up through the opening between the vehicle bumper and body, and into the passenger side taillight pocket. - Insert the T-Connector end with the green wire into the vehicle’s taillight connector and lock it into place. Warning: Be careful to avoid hot pipes, heat shields, the fuel tank, or any points that could pinch or break the wire. 5. Repeat for Driver’s Side: - Repeat the process for the driver's side using the T-Connector with the yellow wire. 6. Insert Fuses into Vehicle’s Fuse Box: - Under the vehicle hood, locate the vehicle’s fuse box. - Insert the provided 10 Amp fuse into position D1. - Insert the provided 30 Amp fuses into positions D2 and D3. Warning: All connections must be complete for the T-Connector to function properly. Test and verify the installation with a test light or trailer. 7. Reinstall Taillight Housing Assemblies: - Reinstall the taillight housing assemblies, positioning the vehicle wiring harness between the housing and the vehicle body. - Secure the T-connector harness with the provided cable ties to prevent damage or rattling, and avoid areas that could cut or pinch the wires. Warning: Overloading the circuit can cause fires.
