Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Spare Tire:
- Remove the spare tire from the vehicle.
- Note: To retain under-box tire storage, the spare tire carrier may need to be relocated or modified.
- For Ford models with 16" spare tires, adjust the spare tire cradle to maintain proper storage after hitch installation.

Measure Frame Width:
- For 34" frames: Position side brackets with mounting flanges pointing inboard.
- For 38" frames: Position side brackets with mounting flanges pointing outboard.

Position Side Brackets:
- Lift the side bracket into position, ensuring the rearmost mounting tab aligns with the end of the vehicle frame.
- Clamp the bracket to the frame.

Drill Holes:
- Using the slotted holes in the bracket as a guide, drill six (6) 1/2" diameter holes in the frame.
- Note: Existing holes in the frame may be used if available.

Install Side Bracket Fasteners:
- Place blocks inside the frame and install the provided hardware as shown in the instructions.
- Do not tighten the fasteners at this stage.

Special Installation for Ford Pickups (1980 and Later):
- These models require the 1685 Fastener Kit (sold separately).

Repeat for Opposite Side:
- Repeat Steps 3, 4, and 5 on the opposite side of the vehicle.

Install Crosstube Assembly:
- Position the crosstube between the side brackets.
- Secure it using the provided bolts, flat washers, and flanged locknuts.
- Torque to 95 lb-ft (129 N*m).

Tighten All Side Bracket Fasteners:
- Torque the side bracket fasteners to 75 lb-ft (102 N*m).
Torque Specifications:
- Crosstube Fasteners: 95 lb-ft (129 N*m)
- Side Bracket Fasteners: 75 lb-ft (102 N*m)

Installation Instructions for T-One® T-Connector
Part Numbers:

- Drill (3/32” Drill Bit)
- Electrical Tape or Tie Straps (not supplied)
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Locate the Tail Light Wiring Harness:
- Locate the vehicle’s tail light wiring harness along the inside of the left rear frame rail.
- This harness will have a connection point with connectors matching the ends of the T-Connector.

Separate the Harness Connectors:
- Carefully separate the harness connectors without breaking the locking tabs.
- Ensure the mating surfaces of the connectors are free of dirt and clean if necessary.

Connect the T-Connector Adapter:
- Insert the T-Connector adapter between the harness connectors and lock it into place.
- Ensure the connectors are fully inserted and the locking tabs are secured.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as the vehicle’s frame or cross member. Do not drill into the vehicle floor or bed.
- Clean the area of dirt and rustproofing.
- Drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire with the provided eyelet and screw.

Route the T-Connector Harness:
- Route the T-Connector harness to the center of the vehicle.
- Secure the wire to the vehicle cross member or another mounting point using electrical tape or tie straps.
