Loosen and Remove Fasteners:
- Loosen (6) bumper bracket nuts (3 on each side).
- Remove the (4) rearmost bolts (2 on each side).
- Remove the remaining flange nuts.
- Do not remove the forward bolts. Return the (4) bolts and flange nuts to the vehicle owner.

Replace Rearmost Bolts:
- Replace the (4) rearmost bolts with the new bolts supplied in the fastener kit.

Insert Spacer Blocks:
- Place one (1) spacer block flush on each bolt.

Raise Hitch Into Position:
- Lift the hitch into place over the exhaust pipe, being careful not to drop the spacer blocks.

Install Fasteners:
- Push the bolts with flat washers through the frame rail, blocks, and brackets.
- Attach flat washers, lock washers, and nuts to the (4) rearmost bolts.

Reinstall Forward Flange Nuts:
- Replace the flange nuts on the forward existing bolts.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Tighten all M14 CL10.9 fasteners to 148 lb-ft (201 N·m).
- Tighten all 1/2-13 GR5 fasteners to 75 lb-ft (102 N·m).

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Access Taillight Wiring:
- Open the tailgate and remove the vehicle’s right-side taillight assembly by removing the two clips holding it in place.
- Carefully pry the housing away from the vehicle, ensuring the alignment tabs are not broken.
- Repeat the process for the left-side taillight assembly.

Disconnect Wiring Harness:
- Slide the red locking tab on the vehicle wiring harness connectors to the unlocked position.
