Installation Instructions for Saturn Vue

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Lower Exhaust (if needed):
- To allow easier access for installing frame bolts, temporarily lower the exhaust system by removing the two rearward rubber isolator hangers on each side.
- Spray lubricant on the isolators to aid in removal.

Install the Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position.
- Install the supplied M12 bolts and conical washers into the existing weldnuts in the vehicle frame.

Reinstall Exhaust:
- If the exhaust was lowered, reinstall the exhaust hangers.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Use a torque wrench to tighten all M12 fasteners to 92 lb-ft (125 N·m).
Hardware List:
- (4) 1/2” Conical Washers
- (4) M12-1.75 x 35mm CL10.9 Hex Head Bolts
Safety Notes:
- Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened.
- If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or body panels to prevent water and exhaust fumes from entering.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
- Follow safety precautions when working beneath the vehicle, and wear eye protection.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
