Lower the Exhaust:
- Remove two (2) rubber exhaust hangers on the driver’s side and one (1) on the passenger’s side of the vehicle.

Remove Tow Hook Bracket:
- Remove the tow hook bracket by detaching five (5) M10 bolts.
- Return the bracket and fasteners to the vehicle owner.

Install the Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position.
- Secure it with four (4) M10 x 1.25 x 40mm bolts and conical toothed washers, two (2) per side.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Use a torque wrench to tighten all M10 CL8.8 fasteners to 42 lb-ft (57 N·m).

Reinstall Exhaust:
- Raise the exhaust back into position and reinstall the rubber isolators.

Installation Instructions for T-Connector Adapter
Part Numbers:

- Trim Panel Remover
- Phillips Head Screwdriver
- Drill with a 3/32" Drill Bit
- 10mm Socket & Ratchet or Wrench
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Prepare the Vehicle:
- Open the rear hatch and remove all floor coverings, storage tray bolts, and storage trays to expose the spare tire compartment.
- Use a trim panel tool to carefully remove the threshold plate, ensuring not to damage any clips. Remove two screws in the threshold area to access the trim panels.
- Partially remove the lower interior trim panels on both sides of the vehicle. Set aside all removed items carefully.

Remove the Taillight Assemblies:
- Remove the taillights on both the driver’s and passenger’s sides by unscrewing three screws per taillight. Carefully pull the taillight housing away from the vehicle, ensuring not to damage the alignment pins.

Access the Taillight Wiring Harness:
- Locate the vehicle’s taillight wiring harness on both sides. This harness has a connection point matching the T-Connector ends.
- Separate the connectors carefully, ensuring not to break the locking tabs. Ensure all connector surfaces are clean and free of dirt.

Route the T-Connector Wiring:
- Push the vehicle’s taillight wiring harness into the rear cargo compartment behind the partially removed trim panels.

Install the Passenger-Side T-Connector:
- From the inside of the rear cargo compartment on the passenger side, locate the vehicle’s taillight wiring harness. Insert the T-Connector end with the green wire into the harness and lock it in place. Ensure the connectors are fully inserted with locking tabs secure.

Route the Green Wire:
- Route the T-Connector end with the green wire and grommet out through the opening exposed in Step 4. Pull the T-Connector until the grommet reaches the opening, then seat the grommet in the opening.

Install the Driver-Side T-Connector:
- Route the T-Connector end with the yellow wire to the driver’s side behind the panels and along the threshold. Repeat Step 5 for the driver’s side using the yellow wire.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector. Drill a 3/32" hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.
- Caution: Verify what is behind the surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury. Do not drill into exposed surfaces.

Mount the Black Box:
- Mount the T-Connector black box using the provided double-sided tape. Secure the remaining harness with the provided cable ties to prevent damage or rattling.
