- Use a center punch to mark the holes in the rail as shown in the diagram (Row 1 and Row 2).
- Drill 1/8” pilot holes through the marked locations.
- Temporarily position the frame brackets on the outside of the truck frame to confirm alignment with the pilot holes.
- If holes align, enlarge them to 9/16” using a drill bit.
Step 4: Install the Rear Frame Brackets
- Attach the driver-side and passenger-side rear brackets to the truck frame as follows:
- Thread a 5/8” pull wire through the access hole in the truck frame and out through the mounting hole.

Step 5: Secure the Rear Base Rail

Step 8: Install the Front Frame Brackets
- Repeat Step 4 to attach the front brackets to the truck frame using the 5/8” carriage bolts, pull wires, square hole plates, washers, and nuts.
Step 9: Secure the Front Base Rail
- Insert 1/2” x 2” carriage bolts through the front rail and truck bed.
- Use U-shaped spacers to ensure metal-to-metal contact.
- Secure the bolts underneath the bed using 1/2” serrated washers, lock washers, and hex nuts.
