Step-by-Step Instructions:

Lower Exhaust:
- Remove both rubber isolators from the muffler hangers to lower the exhaust.
- Be careful not to let the mufflers fall under their own weight.

Prepare Heat Shields:
- Mark and drill two holes, each 4 1/2” from the forward-most hole on the frame channel.
- Use the hitch as a template to ensure proper alignment.
- Remove the heat shield to drill the holes, then reinstall once complete.

Fishwire Carriage Bolts:
- Thread the bolt leader onto the carriage bolt and insert it through the reinforcing plate.
- Fishwire the bolt and plate through the access hole in the frame and pull them through the existing hole.
- Repeat on the other side and leave bolt leaders attached to prevent the hardware from falling back into the frame.

Install Clamping Block:
- Insert a 1-1/2” carriage bolt through the square hole in the hitch and the vehicle’s tie-down loop on the driver’s side.
- Attach the clamping block, conical toothed washer, and nut, then hand-tighten to hold the hitch in place.

Attach Hitch to Frame Straps:
- Fish the bolt leaders through the hitch’s frame strap holes.
- Carefully raise the hitch into position, remove the bolt leaders, and secure with conical toothed washers and nuts.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Use a torque wrench to tighten all:
- 1/2” fasteners to 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N*M).
- 7/16” fasteners to 50 Lb.-Ft. (68 N*M).

- Raise the exhaust back into position and reattach the rubber isolators.

Open the Trunk:
- Remove the threshold panel.
- Partially remove the felt trunk liner on the driver’s side to expose the taillight wiring harness.

Disconnect the Taillight Harness:
- Separate the harness connectors carefully, ensuring not to break the locking tabs.

Connect the T-Connector:
- Insert the T-Connector between the harness connectors and lock it into place.
- Note: The single plug-in for the right turn function is on the driver’s side.
- Ensure the connectors are fully inserted and the locking tabs are secured.

Ground the White Wire:
- Use the existing ground stud or locate a suitable grounding point.
- Drill a 3/32” hole if necessary, and secure the white wire with the provided eyelet and screw.
