Step-by-Step Instructions:

Lower Muffler(s):
- Remove the two (2) rearmost exhaust hangers and one (1) forward exhaust hanger to lower the muffler(s).

Prepare the Trunk:
- Inside the trunk, remove the spare tire cover.
- Detach the plastic liner at the rear of the trunk by removing four (4) net tie-downs.
- Remove the spare tire or storage bin for better access to the trunk floor. Use a screwdriver to release the retainer washer and pull the bin upwards.
- Roll back the carpet and padding to expose the trunk pan.

Position Hitch:
- Carefully raise the hitch into position to avoid scratching the fascia.
- For dual exhaust models, raise one bracket between the trunk pan and exhaust, and slide the other bracket over the second exhaust.
- Align the rear edge of the hitch brackets flush with the frame end panel.

Mark and Drill Holes:
- Using the hitch as a template, mark and center punch two (2) holes on each side.
- Lower the hitch and drill 1/8” pilot holes through the trunk pan. Adjust alignment if needed, then enlarge the holes to 1/2".

Install Plates and Bolts:
- Place the mounting plates over the drilled holes inside the trunk.
- Insert carriage bolts through the plates and trunk pan. Trim the carpet padding underneath if needed for the plate to sit flat.
- Important: Seal all drilled holes to prevent exhaust fumes from entering the trunk.

Attach Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position and secure it using lock washers and hex nuts on the carriage bolts.
- Torque all 7/16"-14 GR5 fasteners to 50 Lb.-Ft. (68 N*M).

Reassemble Trunk Components:
- Roll the carpet and padding back into place.
- Reinstall the spare tire or storage bin and retainer washer (use a deep socket for this step).
- Reattach the spare tire cover and the plastic liner.

Reinstall Exhaust:
- Reattach all exhaust hangers removed earlier.
Hardware List:
- (4) Carriage Bolts: 7/16"-14 x 1.5"
- (4) Lock Washers: 7/16"
- (2) Plates
- (4) Hex Nuts: 7/16"-14
Safety Notes:
- Regularly inspect all fasteners and the hitch ball to ensure proper tightening.

Installation Instructions for T-One® T-Connector
Part Numbers:

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Locate the Vehicle Wiring Harness:
- Partially remove the plastic threshold cover and felt trunk liner inside the rear cargo area to locate the vehicle’s wiring harness near each taillight housing.

Connect the Driver’s Side T-Connector:
- Locate the taillight wiring harness connection point near the driver’s side taillight housing.
- Plug the T-Connector with the yellow wire between the vehicle’s mating connectors.
- Ensure the connectors are fully inserted with the locking tabs in place.
-
Ground the White Wire:
- Locate the existing ground stud on the driver’s side.
- Loosen the bolt, place the eyelet on the stud, and re-tighten the bolt.
- Warning: Ensure all other ground connections remain secure when removing and reattaching the ground stud.

Route the Power Wire:
- Inside the trunk, connect the black 12-gauge wire to the red wire from the T-Connector black box using the supplied yellow butt connector.
- Route the black wire either through a grommet along the exterior frame or follow existing wiring along the thresholds to the engine compartment up to the battery, avoiding areas that may pinch or damage the wire.

Connect to the Battery:
- Disconnect the vehicle’s negative (-) battery cable.
- Remove the fuse from the yellow fuse holder (if not already removed).
- Cut the fuse holder wire and attach the ring terminal. Secure the ring terminal to the vehicle’s positive (+) battery cable.
- Connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black 12-gauge wire using the provided yellow butt connector.

Reconnect the Battery:
- Reconnect the vehicle’s negative (-) battery cable.
- Insert the 10-amp fuse into the fuse holder.

Secure the T-Connector Harness:
- Use the provided cable ties to secure the T-Connector harness, avoiding areas that could cut or pinch the wire.
- Clean a flat area on the floor of the rear cargo area on the driver’s side using a mixture of rubbing alcohol and water.
- Mount the T-Connector black box using the provided double-sided tape.
- Replace the trunk threshold and felt trunk liner.

Store the 4-Flat Connector:
- Store the 4-flat connector in the rear cargo area when not in use.

Test the Installation:
- Verify all connections are complete.
- Test the installation with a test light or trailer.
Warning:
- Overloading circuits can cause fires. Do not exceed the following ratings:
- Max. stop/turn light: 1 per side (2.1 amps)
- Max. tail lights: 4.2 amps
