Step-by-Step Instructions:

Lower Exhaust:
- Remove the rubber exhaust hanger to lower the exhaust.

Remove Inner Wheel Well and Splash Guards:
- Detach the inner wheel well and splash guards on both sides of the vehicle.

Remove Tow Hook:
- Remove the tow hook from the passenger-side frame rail and return it to the vehicle owner.

Raise Hitch into Position:
- Raise the hitch into position and loosely install the M10 bolts and conical toothed washers as shown in the diagram.

Pull Hitch Rearward and Tighten Fasteners:
- Pull the hitch rearward and tighten all fasteners using a torque wrench to the specifications below:
- Torque all M10 CL8.8 fasteners to 42 Lb.-Ft. (57 N*M).
- Pull the hitch rearward and tighten all fasteners using a torque wrench to the specifications below:

Reinstall Muffler Hanger:
- Reattach the muffler hanger.

Reinstall Inner Wheel Well and Splash Guards:
- Reinstall the inner wheel well and splash guards that were removed earlier.
Hardware List:
- (4) Hex Bolts: M10 x 1.25 x 30mm CL8.8
- (4) Conical Toothed Washers: 3/8”
Safety Notes:
- Regularly inspect all fasteners and the hitch ball to ensure they are securely tightened.
- If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or body panels to prevent water and exhaust fumes from entering.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
- Always observe safety precautions and wear eye protection when working beneath the vehicle.
- Do not use a torch to cut access or attachment holes.
Drawbar:
- Drawbar Kit: 3593
- Important: The drawbar must be used in the rise position only.
