Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Plastic Rivets:
- Remove three (3) plastic rivets securing the fascia tabs to the vehicle using a flat screwdriver. Retain two (2) rivets for reinstallation.

Prepare Trunk Pan:
- Locate the tab at the bottom center of the trunk pan and bend it downward and out of the way.
-
Modify Fascia Tab:
- Remove the center fascia tab using a utility knife or suitable cutting tool.
-
Position Hitch (Passenger Side First):
- Raise the hitch into position on the passenger side, sliding it over the fascia tab and the top of the exhaust. Be careful not to scratch the fascia.

Position Hitch (Driver Side):
- Slide the hitch over the fascia tab on the driver side and position it between the vehicle's tie-down brackets.
-
Attach Tie-Down Fasteners:
- Install the 5/8”-11 bolts with flat washers to the outside of the tie-down brackets on both sides. Attach 5/8” lock washers and hex nuts. Do not tighten at this stage.

Install 3/8” Bolts:
- Install 3/8”-16 bolts, lock washers, and hex nuts on both sides as shown.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Tighten the following fasteners using a torque wrench:
- 5/8”-11 GR8 bolts: 212 Lb.-Ft. (287 N*M)
- 3/8”-16 GR8 bolts: 45 Lb.-Ft. (61 N*M)
- Tighten the following fasteners using a torque wrench:
Hardware List:
- (2) 5/8”-11 Bolts
- (2) Flat Washers: 5/8”
- (2) Lock Washers: 5/8”
- (2) Hex Nuts: 5/8”-11
- (4) 3/8”-16 Bolts
- (4) Lock Washers: 3/8”
- (4) Hex Nuts: 3/8”-16
Safety Notes:
- Regularly inspect all fasteners and the hitch ball to ensure they are securely tightened.
- If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or body panels to prevent water or exhaust fumes from entering.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
- Always observe safety precautions and wear eye protection when working under the vehicle.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.

Installation Instructions for T-One® T-Connector for Toyota Yaris

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Open the Rear Hatch:
- Temporarily remove the rear threshold plate, storage covers, and floor covering.
-
Remove Rear Interior Trim Panels:
- Partially remove the rear interior trim panels on both the driver and passenger sides.
- Remove several trim panel fasteners to access the wiring. Set aside all parts carefully to avoid damage.
-
Locate Taillight Connection Points:
- Behind the taillights, locate the connection points matching the ends of the T-One® T-Connector adapter.
- Begin on the driver’s side and separate the vehicle’s wiring connectors carefully to avoid damaging the locking tabs.
- Attach both ends of the T-One® T-Connector containing the yellow and brown wires.

Route Passenger-Side T-Connector:
- Route the T-Connector containing the green wire below the threshold cover to the passenger-side taillight housing.
- Repeat Step 3 for the passenger-side connection.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point on the driver’s side near the connectors.
- Drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.
Caution: Verify what is behind any surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury. Do not drill into exposed surfaces.

Mount the T-Connector Black Box:
- Mount the black box on the driver’s side using the provided double-sided tape.

Connect Power Wire:
- Inside the vehicle, connect the black 12-gauge wire to the red wire from the T-Connector black box using the supplied yellow butt connector.
- Either route the black wire through a grommet and along the exterior frame or follow existing wiring along the thresholds to the engine compartment and battery, avoiding areas that may pinch or damage the wire.
Warning: Avoid routing wires near hot pipes, heat shields, the fuel tank, or areas that may pinch or damage the wire.

Install the Fuse Holder:
- Disconnect the vehicle’s Negative (-) battery cable.
- Remove the fuse from the yellow fuse holder (provided). Attach the ring terminal to the vehicle’s Positive (+) battery cable.
- Connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black 12-gauge wire using the yellow butt connector.

Reconnect Battery and Install the Fuse:
- Reconnect the vehicle’s Negative (-) battery cable.
- Insert the 15-amp fuse into the fuse holder.

Secure the T-Connector Harness:
- Use the provided cable ties to secure the remaining harness, avoiding areas that may pinch, cut, or melt the wires.

Reassemble Vehicle Components:
- Replace the plastic trim panels, threshold, storage covers, and floor covering. Ensure no wires are pinched or damaged during reassembly.

Store the 4-Flat Connector:
- Store the 4-flat connector in the rear cargo area when not in use.
