Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Prepare Self-Tapping Bolts:

   • Start threading the self-tapping bolts (Item 5) into the designated locations on the frame rail.
   • Ensure the bolts are perpendicular to the frame rail and thread halfway or more before removing the bolts for later reinstallation.

2. Install Carriage Bolts:

   • Feed the pull wire through the forward slot in the frame rail and out the open end of the frame.
   • Attach the carriage bolt and spacer to the pull wire and pull them into position through the forward hole. Leave pull wires attached.

3. Raise Hitch into Position:

   • Align the hitch with the frame rails and feed pull wires through the hitch slots. Use conical washers to hold bolts in place while removing the pull wires.
   • Attach hex nuts and tighten to hold the hitch in place. Repeat on the opposite side.

4. Reinstall Self-Tapping Bolts:

   • Secure the hitch with self-tapping bolts. Once all bolts are in place, center the hitch on the vehicle and tighten.

5. Torque Fasteners:

   • Tighten all fasteners to the specified torque values:
     • M12 x 1.75 fasteners: 75 lb-ft (102 N*m)
     • 1/2"-13 GR5 fasteners: 75 lb-ft (102 N*m)

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Prepare Self-Tapping Bolts:

Installation Instructions for T-One® T-Connector for Ford Transit

Part Numbers:

Tools Required:

• Trim Panel Remover
• Drill (3/32” Drill Bit)
• Phillips Head Screwdriver
• Test Probe
• Flat Screwdriver

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Remove the Taillights:

   • Open the rear door.
   • Remove the screws securing the taillights on both the driver and passenger sides.
   • Carefully pull the taillights away from the vehicle, avoiding damage to alignment pins.

2. Disconnect the Wiring Harness:

   • On both sides, locate the vehicle’s taillight wiring harness.
   • Separate the connector carefully, ensuring not to break the locking tabs.
   • Ensure all connector surfaces are clean and free of dirt.

3. Install the Driver-Side T-Connector:

   • Insert the T-One® T-Connector end with the yellow wire between the vehicle’s wiring connectors on the driver’s side.
   • Ensure the connectors are fully inserted with locking tabs in place.

4. Route the Green Wire to the Passenger Side:

   • Route the harness containing the green wire and 4-flat connector through the opening behind the driver’s side taillight.
   • Continue routing the green wire underneath the vehicle to the passenger side and up through the opening behind the passenger’s taillight.

   Warning: Avoid hot pipes, heat shields, fuel tanks, or other areas where the wire could be pinched or damaged.

5. Install the Passenger-Side T-Connector:

   • Repeat Step 3 on the passenger side using the T-One® T-Connector with the green wire.

6. Ground the White Wire:

   • Locate a suitable grounding point on the driver’s side near the connectors.
   • Drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the provided screw and eyelet.

   Caution: Verify the area behind the surface before drilling to avoid vehicle damage or injury.

7. Connect the Power Wire:

   • Open the hood and locate the positive 12V power post. Using a 15mm socket, remove the nut.
   • Attach the provided ring terminal to the positive battery post using the nut removed earlier.

8. Prepare the Fuse Holder:

   • Remove the fuse from the yellow fuse holder.
   • Attach one end of the fuse holder to the positive battery post and the other end to the black 12-gauge wire using the yellow butt connector.

9. Route the Black Power Wire:

   • Route the black wire from the engine compartment to the rear driver’s side of the vehicle.
   • Connect the black wire to the power wire on the T-One® T-Connector black box using the yellow butt connector.

   Warning: Avoid routing near hot pipes, heat shields, or fuel tanks.

10. Reconnect the Battery:

    • Reconnect the vehicle’s negative (-) battery cable.
    • Install the 15-amp fuse into the fuse holder.

    Warning: All connections must be complete for the trailer tow harness to function properly. Test the installation using a test light or trailer.

11. Mount the T-One® Black Box:

    • Mount the black box on the driver’s side using the provided double-sided tape.
    • Secure the remainder of the T-One® harness using the provided cable ties.

    Warning: Ensure the epoxy side of the black box is facing downward to prevent water buildup.

12. Reinstall the Taillights:

    • Reinstall the taillight assemblies, ensuring the wiring is positioned properly.

13. Mount the 4-Flat Connector:

    • Secure the 4-flat connector in an accessible location using a bracket or electrical box (not included).

• Max. stop/turn light: 4.2 amps per side
• Max. tail lights: 7.5 amps
