Step-by-Step Instructions:

Mark Fascia Centerline:
- Use a marker or tape to mark the centerline of the fascia for reference.

Remove Plastic Rivets and Screws:
- Remove plastic rivets from the supports on the bottom of the bumper fascia by pulling the center post of the rivet approximately 1/4". Push out the rivet by hand. Remove 3–4 Phillips screws from each wheel well.

Remove Trunk Fasteners:
- Open the trunk and remove two hex screws from under the rear hatch securing the bumper fascia. Repeat for both sides.

Remove Bumper Fascia:
- Loosen tail light bolts to allow additional clearance for fascia removal.
- Gently pull upward from the rear wheel well trim panel on both sides, unclipping the tabs inside. Work up toward the tail lights, releasing cleats with a small screwdriver as needed. Continue to remove along the bottom to the trunk, detaching any wiring harness if present. Set the fascia aside.

Remove Bumper:
- Remove eight (8) bolts holding the bumper in place. Return the fasteners to the vehicle owner.

Trim Bumper (If Necessary):
- Use a die grinder to remove any material as shown in Figure 2.

Install Hitch and Bumper:
- Raise the hitch and bumper into position as shown in Figure 1. Secure with the provided fasteners.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Torque all M8 CL8.8 fasteners to 20 Lb.-Ft. (27 N*M).

Trim Fascia:
- Using the centerline marked in Step 1, trim a 2.50” x 4.00” section from the fascia as shown in Figure 3. Use a drill to create rounded corners.

Reinstall Fascia:
- Align and reinstall the fascia, ensuring all fasteners and wiring harnesses are reattached in reverse order of removal.
Hardware List:
- (8) Hex Bolts: M8 x 1.25 x 30mm CL8.8
- (8) Conical Washers: 3/8"
Safety Notes:
- Regularly inspect all fasteners and the hitch ball to ensure they remain securely tightened.
- Plug any holes in the trunk pan or body panels if the hitch is removed to prevent water or exhaust fumes from entering.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
- Always wear eye protection and observe safety precautions when working beneath the vehicle.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.

Installation Instructions for T-One® Connector for Honda Civic Sedan

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Access Rear Wiring:
- Open the hatch and remove the trim panels covering the tail lights.
- Using a 10mm socket, remove the mounting screws on both driver’s and passenger’s sides.
- Carefully set the tail lights aside, ensuring not to break the mounting tabs.

Disconnect Taillight Wiring Harness:
- Disconnect the vehicle wiring harness from both taillight sockets.
- Ensure all connector surfaces are clean and free of dirt.
-
Route Driver-Side Harness:
- Underneath the vehicle, route the harness containing the yellow wire up through the opening between the bumper and body to the driver’s side taillight pocket.
Note: Use a fish wire between the taillight pocket and rear fascia to ease installation.

Install Driver-Side T-One® Connector:
- Insert the T-One® Connector with the yellow wire between the vehicle’s wiring connectors and lock it into place.

Mount the Black Box:
- Underneath the vehicle, determine a suitable mounting point behind the rear bumper fascia on the passenger’s side.
- Mount the T-One® Connector black box using the provided double-sided tape.
Caution:
- Ensure the epoxy side of the module faces downward to prevent water buildup.
- Verify the area behind any surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury. Do not drill into exposed surfaces.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a grounding point near the black box or an existing ground stud.
- Drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.
- Avoid drilling into the vehicle floor or bed.
Warning: Avoid routing wires near hot pipes, heat shields, fuel tanks, or any other potentially damaging areas.

Route Passenger-Side Harness:
- Route the green wire from the T-One® Connector underneath the vehicle up through the opening between the bumper and body to the passenger’s side taillight pocket.
Note: Use a fish wire to aid installation.

Install Passenger-Side T-One® Connector:
- Insert the T-One® Connector with the green wire between the vehicle’s wiring connectors and lock it into place.

Connect Power Wire:
- Disconnect the vehicle’s Negative (-) battery cable.
- Remove the fuse from the yellow fuse holder (provided).
- Attach the ring terminal to the Positive (+) battery cable and secure it.
- Connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black 12-gauge wire using the provided yellow butt connector.
Warning: Avoid hot pipes, heat shields, fuel tanks, or any other points that could pinch or damage the wire.

Route Power Wire:
- Starting from the front of the vehicle, route the black 12-gauge wire rearward along the frame rail.

Connect Power Wire to Black Box:
- Attach the black 12-gauge wire to the black power wire on the T-One® Connector’s black box using the yellow butt connector.

Reconnect Battery and Test:
- Reconnect the vehicle’s Negative (-) battery cable.
- Install the 15-amp fuse into the fuse holder.
- Test the installation with a test light or trailer.
- Reset the vehicle’s electrical system by temporarily removing the key from the ignition.

Reassemble Components:
- Reinstall trim panels, threshold, storage covers, and any other items removed during installation, ensuring wires are not pinched or damaged.
- Store the 4-Flat connector in an accessible location using a bracket or electrical box.
Safety Notes:
- Overloading circuits can cause fires. Do not exceed stated product ratings.
- Always wear safety glasses and follow all safety precautions during installation.
