Installation Instructions for Ford Mustang – All Models
Part Numbers:

Wiring Access Location:

- Wrenches: 13mm, 15mm, 11/16", 17mm
Specifications:
- Max Gross Trailer Weight: 2,000 lb.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Bumper Bracket Bolts:
- Remove the bumper bracket bolts from the bottom of each frame rail. These fasteners will not be reused. Return them to the vehicle owner.

Install M10 Bolts:
- Attach M10 bolts and 3/8” conical washers through the hitch into the existing weldnuts on both sides of the vehicle. Leave the fasteners loose for adjustment.

Drill Access Hole:
- Drill a 1” hole using a hole saw on the inboard side of the frame rail, approximately 3” forward of the bumper inboard edge (see Figure 2). Use this hole for fishwiring the 7/16” carriage bolt and block.

Fishwire Hardware:
- Fishwire the 7/16” x 1.50” carriage bolts and spacer blocks (3837) through the drilled hole and into position.

Raise Hitch:
- Position the hitch on the vehicle, supporting it with a jack or additional person. Install 7/16” flat washers and nuts onto the bolts. Do not fully tighten yet.

Install Optional Spacers:
- If there are variations in bumper position, install the optional spacer blocks (4833-003) between the hitch tab and bumper to ensure proper alignment. Tighten fasteners as shown.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Torque all M10 CL10.9 fasteners to 58 Lb.-Ft.
- Torque all 7/16” GR5 fasteners to 50 Lb.-Ft.

Installation Instructions for T-One® T-Connector

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Plastic Nuts:
- Remove two plastic nuts that secure the felt trunk liner behind the tail lights. One is on the driver’s side, and one is on the passenger side.

Access the Connector:
- Pull the liner on the driver’s side out far enough to access the connector mounted to the rear wall of the trunk.
- Separate the connectors, being careful not to break the locking tabs.

Connect the T-Connector (Driver’s Side):
- Insert the T-Connector’s 3-wire connector between the vehicle’s connectors.
- Ensure all tabs are locked into place.

Route the T-Connector to Passenger Side:
- Route the single-wire end of the T-Connector under the liner to the passenger side.
- Locate the passenger side connector in the same spot as on the driver’s side.
- Separate the connectors and make the attachment with the T-Connector.

Test the Installation:
- Test the installation with a test light or trailer.

Reposition the Trunk Liner:
- Reposition the trunk liner and reattach the two plastic nuts.
