Step-by-Step Instructions:

Lower Exhaust System:
- Remove the muffler metal tangs from the rubber exhaust hangers at the rear of the vehicle.
- Loosen the strap bolts holding the exhaust together in front of the mufflers on both sides.
- Rotate the mufflers downward for access to the round holes in the frame bottom.

Fishwire Carriage Bolts and Blocks:
- Insert the bolt leaders through the attachment holes in the outside of the frame and out through the large access holes at the bottom.
- Slide the bolt leader through a block and screw it onto a carriage bolt. Pull the assembly through the frame and leave the ends of the bolt leaders sticking out.

Position Hitch:
- Raise the hitch above the tailpipes, ensuring the hitch tubing pushes the muffler hangers upward.
- Guide the bolt leader ends through the slots in the hitch frame brackets as you raise the hitch into position.

Install Fasteners:
- Pull the ends of the carriage bolts through the vehicle frame and hitch brackets.
- Loosely install conical toothed washers and hex nuts. Ensure the bolts engage with the square hole in the blocks.

Adjust Hitch (for V-6 Models):
- Pull the hitch rearward as far as possible to allow for better muffler clearance.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Torque all 7/16”-14 x 1-1/2” carriage bolts to 50 Lb.-Ft. (68 N*M).

Reattach Exhaust System:
- Reinsert the metal muffler tangs into the rubber hangers on both sides.
- Tighten the strap bolts holding the exhaust together in front of the mufflers.
- To allow additional clearance between the hitch brackets and tailpipes, twist the mufflers and tailpipes before tightening.

Installation Instructions for T-Connector Adapter for Ford Mustang

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Prepare the Rear Cargo Area:
- Partially remove the plastic threshold cover and felt trunk liner in the rear cargo area.
- Remove the top fasteners holding the threshold by rotating them 90° and gently pulling out until they release.
- Locate the connection points matching the ends of the T-Connector adapter on the back of each taillight housing.

Disconnect the Wiring Harness:
- Separate the vehicle wiring connectors, being careful not to damage the locking tabs.
- Ensure the mating surfaces of the connectors are clean and free of dirt.

Install the Driver-Side T-Connector:
- Insert the T-Connector end with the yellow wire between the driver-side wiring connectors.
- Ensure the locking tabs are secure and connectors are fully inserted.

Route the Passenger-Side T-Connector:
- Route the T-Connector containing the green wire below the threshold cover to the passenger-side taillight housing.
- Repeat Step 3 for the passenger side using the T-Connector with the green wire.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as an existing ground stud.
- If necessary, drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.
- Clean the grounding area of dirt and rustproofing.
Caution:
- Verify what is behind any surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury. Do not drill into exposed surfaces.

Connect the Power Wire:
- Inside the trunk, connect the black 12-gauge wire and the red wire from the T-Connector black box using the supplied yellow butt connector.
- Route the black wire either through a grommet and along the exterior frame or follow existing wiring along the thresholds to the engine compartment and up to the battery.
Warning:
- Avoid routing the wire near hot pipes, heat shields, fuel tanks, or areas that may pinch or damage the wire.

Connect to the Vehicle Battery:
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the fuse from the yellow fuse holder.
- Attach the ring terminal to the vehicle’s positive battery cable and connect the fuse holder to the black 12-gauge wire using the yellow butt connector.

- Reconnect the negative battery cable.
- Insert the 10-amp fuse into the fuse holder.
