Step-by-Step Instructions:

Lower and Remove Spare Tire:
- The tire release is located inside the rear cargo area in the middle of the floor.

Lower Exhaust System:
- Remove the rubber isolators from the exhaust hangers. Use lubricant or soapy water to ease removal.

Remove Fascia Tabs:
- Remove the plastic rivets that secure the fascia tabs to the vehicle using a flat screwdriver. Keep the rivets for reinstallation.

Insert Fasteners into Frame Rails:
- Option A: Feed fasteners into the frame rails through the access hole over the spring shackle into the forward hole. Repeat for the rearward holes.
- Option B: Enlarge the forward hole with a drill or rotary tool to fit the carriage bolt and spacer.

Insert Remaining Fasteners:
- Feed additional fasteners into the holes in the rear crossmember of the vehicle. Leave pull wires attached.

Position and Secure Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position, feeding pull wires through the hitch slots. Use conical washers to hold the bolts in place and attach hex nuts. Repeat for all fasteners.

Reinstall Spare Tire:
- Confirm that the spare tire does not interfere with the hitch after reinstallation.

Torque Fasteners:
- Tighten all fasteners to the specified torque values:
- 7/16-14 GR5 fasteners: 50 lb-ft (68 N*m)
- Tighten all fasteners to the specified torque values:

Trim Fascia Tabs:
- Trim the fascia tabs as necessary. Reinstall the fascia attachments on both sides.

Reattach Exhaust System:
- Raise the exhaust system back into position and secure it to the rubber isolators.

- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
