Step-by-Step Instructions:

Prepare Trunk Area:
- Remove carpeting, fiberboard, and storage bin tray (if present) from the trunk.

Remove Ground Wire:
- Detach the ground wire from the driver’s side muffler.
-
Disconnect Exhaust:
- For 2007-2011 Models:
- Disconnect the exhaust at the flange on both sides and retain the fasteners.
- For 2012 and Later Models:
- Disconnect the exhaust at the lap joint on both sides and retain the fasteners.

Expose Frame Area:
- Push the exhaust toward the rear of the vehicle and off the rubber isolator.
- Gently move the heat shield toward the frame rail to expose the area between the frame rail and wheel well.

Position Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position between the frame rails and spare tire wheel well.
- Align the rear edge of the hitch side brackets flush with the bulkhead.
- Verify the hitch is properly positioned.

Mark and Drill Holes:
- Using the hitch as a template, mark and center punch two (2) holes on both sides.
- Lower the hitch and drill 7/16” holes through the trunk pan at the marked locations. Adjust alignment if needed, and remove burrs.

Install Plates and Bolts:
- Position the provided plate over the drilled holes inside the trunk.
- Insert carriage bolts through the plate and trunk pan. Ensure the installation is above the carpet.

Attach Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position, align it over the carriage bolts, and secure with lock washers and hex nuts.

Reattach Components:
- Gently bend the heat shield back into place.
- Reattach the exhaust to the rubber isolator and the flange/lap joint.
- Reinstall the ground wire to the muffler.

Seal Bolts:
- Apply sealant to the bolt attachments inside the spare tire well to prevent water and exhaust fumes from entering the vehicle.

Reinstall Trunk Components:
- Replace the carpeting, fiberboard, and storage bin tray (if present).

Installation Instructions for T-One® T-Connector for Nissan Altima

- Trim Panel Remover

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Prepare the Vehicle:
- Open the trunk and temporarily remove the rear threshold plate.
- Partially remove the felt trunk liner behind the taillights.
-
Locate the Taillight Wiring Harness:
- On both the driver and passenger sides, locate the taillight wiring harness with connection points matching the ends of the T-One® Connector.
- Separate the connectors carefully, ensuring not to break the locking tabs. Ensure all connector surfaces are clean and free of dirt.

Connect the Driver-Side T-Connector:
- Insert the T-One® Connector end with the yellow wire between the vehicle wiring connectors.
- Lock into place and ensure all connectors are fully inserted and secure.

Route the Passenger-Side T-Connector:
- Route the T-One® Connector end with the green wire to the passenger side behind the panels and along the threshold.
- Repeat Step 3 using the T-Connector ends containing the green wire.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as the vehicle frame.
- Clean dirt and rustproofing from the area.
- Drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.
Caution: Verify what is behind any surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury.

Connect the Power Wire:
- Inside the vehicle, connect the black 12-gauge wire from the T-One® Connector’s black box to the supplied black wire using the yellow butt connector.
- Route the black wire through a grommet and along the exterior frame or follow the existing wiring to the engine compartment.
- Avoid routing near hot pipes, heat shields, or the fuel tank.

Connect to the Vehicle Battery:
- Disconnect the vehicle’s Negative (-) battery cable.
- Remove the fuse from the yellow fuse holder. Attach the ring terminal to the Positive (+) battery cable.
- Connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black 12-gauge wire using the yellow butt connector.

Reconnect the Battery and Test:
- Reconnect the vehicle’s Negative (-) battery cable.
- Insert the 15-amp fuse into the fuse holder.
- Test the installation with a test light or trailer.

Mount the Black Box Module:
- Locate a flat, out-of-the-way surface and mount the black box module to prevent damage or rattling.

Secure the Wiring Harness:
- Use the provided cable ties to secure the harness, avoiding areas that may pinch, cut, or melt the wire.

- Replace the carpet, clips, and panels removed during installation, ensuring no wires are pinched or damaged.
