Remove Appearance Panel:
- Detach the driver-side appearance panel by removing 10mm hex nuts and plastic rivets. Remove rubber plugs from the frame rail, if present, and return them to the vehicle owner.

Lower Muffler and Remove Heat Shield:
- Detach two rubber isolator hangers (one on the side and rear of the muffler). Spray lubricant or soapy water on the hanger rods for easier removal.
- Remove the heat shield using a 10mm socket. Trim as shown in the instructions.

Remove Lower Fascia Trim:
- Mark the center of the lower fascia. Remove one plastic rivet from the bottom and one screw on each side using a Phillips screwdriver. Carefully separate the lower fascia trim and remove the remaining plastic tabs.

Raise Hitch as Template:
- Use the reverse pullwire method to insert a 7/16"-14 x 1.75” carriage bolt and spacer into the frame rail through the access hole. Feed the pull wire through the forward hitch holes. Hand-tighten the hitch in place and ensure it is level and centered. Mark or center-punch the two rearward holes on each side.

Drill Holes:
- Lower the hitch carefully, ensuring forward bolts do not fall into the frame rail. Drill the marked holes and remove burrs.

Install Rear Fasteners:
- Use the pull wire to guide the rear fasteners through the drilled holes and secure them. Leave the pull wires attached.

Reinstall Heat Shield:
- Reattach the trimmed heat shield, sandwiching it between the frame rail and hitch.

Install Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position, threading the pull wires through the corresponding holes. Remove the pull wires and secure the fasteners with conical washers and hex nuts.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Torque all 7/16"-14 GR5 fasteners to 50 Lb.-Ft. (68 N*M).

Trim Lower Fascia:
- Trim the lower fascia as shown, ensuring smooth edges with rounded corners.

Open the Trunk:
- Remove the rear threshold plate temporarily.
- Partially remove the felt trunk liner on both sides to expose the vehicle’s taillight wiring harness.

Access the Taillight Wiring Harness:
- Locate the vehicle’s taillight wiring harness plugged directly into the taillight socket on both driver and passenger sides.
- Disconnect the wiring harness connectors, being careful not to damage the locking tabs.

Install the Driver-Side T-Connector:
- Insert the T-Connector end with the yellow wire between the driver-side wiring connectors and lock it in place.
- Ensure connectors are fully inserted, with locking tabs secured.
