Installation Instructions for T-One® T-Connector for Lexus NX

• Trim Panel Remover

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Locate the Vehicle Wiring:

   • Open the trunk or hatch.
   • Partially remove the plastic threshold cover, side access panels, carpet panels, and cargo trays to access the vehicle's rear wiring.

2. Identify the Taillight Wiring Harness:

   • On both the driver and passenger sides of the vehicle, locate the taillight wiring harness.
   • Disconnect the harness, ensuring not to break the locking tabs.
   • Clean all connectors to ensure proper connection.

3. Install the Driver-Side T-Connector:

   • Connect the T-One® T-Connector end with the yellow wire to the driver-side wiring harness.
   • Lock the connectors securely and route the green wire T-Connector to the passenger side.

4. Install the Passenger-Side T-Connector:

   • Connect the green wire T-Connector to the passenger-side wiring harness following the same procedure as the driver side.

5. Ground the White Wire:

   • Locate a suitable grounding point near the driver-side harness.
   • Drill a 3/32” hole or use an existing screw to secure the white wire with the provided ring terminal.

   Caution: Check for obstructions before drilling.

6. Battery Location:

   • For hybrid models, the vehicle battery is located in the rear cargo area under the floor covering.
   • For gas models, the battery is under the hood.

7. Connect the Power Wire:

   • Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
   • Remove the fuse from the yellow fuse holder.
   • Attach the ring terminal to the positive (+) battery cable and connect the black 12-gauge wire to the other end of the fuse holder using the yellow butt connector.

8. Route the Power Wire:

   • Route the black wire through a grommet and along the exterior frame to the T-Connector's black box.
   • Avoid areas that may pinch, cut, or damage the wire.

9. Reconnect the Battery:

   • Reconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
   • Insert the 15-amp fuse into the fuse holder.
   • Test the installation using a test light or trailer.

10. Mount the Black Box:

    • Find a flat, out-of-the-way surface on the driver’s side and secure the black converter box using double-sided tape.

11. Secure the Harness:

    • Use the provided cable ties to secure the remaining T-Connector harness, avoiding areas that may cause damage.

12. Reassemble the Vehicle:

    • Replace all panels, covers, and components removed during installation, ensuring no wires are pinched.

13. Store the 4-Flat Connector:

    • Store the 4-flat connector in the rear cargo area when not in use.

• Max. stop/turn light: 4.2 amps per side
• Max. tail lights: 7.5 amps
