Installation Instructions for T-One® T-Connector for Chevy Volt LT Hatchback

- Trim Panel Remover
- 10mm Socket & Ratchet or 10mm Wrench
- Drill (3/32” Drill Bit)
- Wire Crimpers
- Wire Cutters
- Phillips Head Screwdriver

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove the Taillights:
- Open the vehicle hatch to access the taillights.
- Remove the taillights on both the driver and passenger sides to access the vehicle’s wiring.

Mount the Black Box Module:
- Locate the aluminum bumper support brace on the driver’s side.
- Mount the black box to the support brace using the provided cable tie.
Warning: Ensure the epoxy side of the module is facing downward to prevent water buildup.

Connect the Driver-Side T-Connector:
- Separate the vehicle's wiring connectors carefully, avoiding damage to the locking tabs.
- Route the T-Connector end with the yellow and brown wire upward between the bumper cover and rear body panel into the taillight pocket.
- Connect the T-Connector with the vehicle’s wiring connectors and ensure all connections are secure.

Route the Passenger-Side T-Connector:
- Route the green and red wire along the metal bumper to the passenger’s side.
- Fish the T-Connector end with the green and red wire upward between the bumper cover and rear body panel into the taillight pocket.
- Repeat Step 3 for the passenger side using the T-Connector with the green and red wire.
Caution: Avoid routing wires near hot pipes, heat shields, the fuel tank, or any other hazardous points.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the black box, such as an existing ground stud, or drill a 3/32” hole.
- Secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.
- Clean dirt and rustproofing from the area before grounding.
Caution: Verify the area behind the surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury.

Connect the Power Wire:
- On the driver’s side, locate the black 12-gauge power wire from the T-Connector box.
- Attach the provided black 12-gauge wire and route it along the exterior frame or follow the existing wiring to the engine compartment.
- Avoid areas that may pinch or break the wire.
Warning: If routing through a grommet and along the exterior, avoid hot pipes, heat shields, or other hazardous areas.

Connect to the Battery:
- Disconnect the vehicle’s Negative (-) battery cable.
- Attach the ring terminal to the Positive (+) battery cable.
- Connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black 12-gauge wire using the provided yellow butt connector.

Reconnect the Battery and Test:
- Reconnect the vehicle’s Negative (-) battery cable.
- Insert the 15-amp fuse into the fuse holder and test the installation with a test light or trailer.
- Reset the vehicle's electrical system by temporarily removing the key from the ignition.

Secure the Wiring Harness:
- Use the provided cable ties to secure the T-Connector harness.
- Avoid areas that may pinch, cut, or melt the wire.

Reassemble the Vehicle:
- Reinstall the taillights, plastic trim panels, threshold, storage covers, floor covering, and other removed components.
- Ensure no wires are pinched or damaged.

Mount the 4-Flat Connector:
- Mount the 4-flat end in an accessible location using a bracket or electrical box (not included).
Specifications:
- Max. stop/turn light: 2 per side (4.2 amps)
- Max. tail lights: 7.5 amps
