Installation Instructions for T-One® T-Connector for Mazda 3 Sedan
Part Numbers:

Tools Required:
- Trim Panel Remover
- 10mm Socket & Ratchet or Wrench
- Drill (3/32” Drill Bit)
- Wire Crimpers
- Wire Cutters
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Open the Trunk:
- Remove the threshold panel.
- Partially remove the felt trunk liner on both sides to expose the vehicle’s taillight wiring harness.

Connect the Driver-Side T-Connector:
- Insert the T-One® Connector end with the yellow wire between the vehicle’s wiring connectors.
- Ensure the connectors are fully inserted and the locking tabs are securely in place.

Mount the T-One® Black Box:
- Mount the T-One® Connector black box using the provided double-sided tape.
- Secure the remaining harness with the provided cable ties, avoiding areas where wires could be pinched or cut.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as an existing ground stud.
- If no existing point is available, drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.
- Clean the area to remove dirt or rustproofing before securing.
Caution: Verify what is behind the surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury.

Route the Passenger-Side T-Connector:
- Route the green wire connector along the threshold to the passenger side.
- Insert the green wire connector between the vehicle’s taillight socket and wiring harness, ensuring all connections are secure.

Connect the Power Wire:
- Disconnect the Negative (-) battery cable.
- Remove the fuse from the yellow fuse holder (provided).
- Attach the ring terminal to the Positive (+) battery cable and secure it.
- Connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black 12-gauge wire using the provided yellow butt connector.
Warning: Follow all warnings and precautions printed on the vehicle’s battery.

Reconnect the Battery and Test:
- Reconnect the Negative (-) battery cable.
- Install the 15-amp fuse into the fuse holder.
- Test the installation using a test light or trailer.

Reassemble the Vehicle:
- Reinstall the plastic trim panels, threshold, storage covers, and floor covering removed during installation.
- Ensure no wires are pinched or damaged.

Store the 4-Flat Connector:
- Route the 4-flat connector through the driver’s side trim panel into the storage compartment.
- Store the connector in the compartment when not in use.
