Step-by-Step Instructions:
For Normal Installation (Without Rear Stabilizer Bar):

Remove Front Bumper Bolts:
- Remove the front bumper bolts on both sides.

Install M12 x 1.75 Stud:
- Insert the stud into position until it seats to the frame where the bumper bolt was removed.
- Final tightening will occur when the nuts are tightened.

Remove Rear Bumper Bolts:
- Remove the rear bumper bolts and place the hitch into position as shown.

Drill Holes:
- Using the hitch as a template, drill a 7/16" hole in each frame rail for the forward attachment. Refer to Figure 1 for the hole location.

Fishwire Bolts:
- Fishwire the 7/16" bolts and blocks through the oval hole on the side brackets.

Secure Fasteners:
- Tighten the bolts and nuts to the specified torque values:
- 7/16" GR5 Fasteners: 50 lb-ft (68 N·m)
- M10 Fasteners: 42 lb-ft (57 N·m)
- M12 Fasteners: 75 lb-ft (102 N·m)
- Tighten the bolts and nuts to the specified torque values:
For Short Wheel Base with Rear Stabilizer Bar:
- Follow the same procedure as above, but refer to Figure 2 for adjustments related to the stabilizer bar bracket installation.

- 7/16"-14 GR5: 50 lb-ft (68 N·m)
- M10: 42 lb-ft (57 N·m)
- M12: 75 lb-ft (102 N·m)

Installation Instructions for T-Connector Adapter
Part Numbers:

Wiring Access Location:
- Driver’s side rear taillamp and jack storage compartment.
Tools Required:
- Utility knife.
- Drill with a 3/32" drill bit.
- Cable ties (provided).
- Double-sided tape (provided).
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove the driver’s side rear taillamp housing (Fig. 1).
- Slide the red locking tab on the harness connector to the unlocked position.
- Disconnect the wire harness from the taillamp sockets.
-
Pull the vehicle’s wiring harness and rubber grommet slightly out on the driver’s side.
-
With the wiring and grommets exposed, slit the grommet using a utility knife from the hole where the vehicle wiring passes through to the outside edge (Fig. 2).
- Unwrap the tape around the grommet tabs or cut the tabs off the grommet holding the wires.
-
Open the vehicle’s jack storage cover on the driver’s side.
- Partially remove the driver’s side rear trim panel.
- If necessary, peel back the black tape covering a hole on the vehicle body panel.
- Push the T-Connector’s end through the jack storage compartment and out to the driver’s side rear taillamp opening.
- Reposition the tape over the hole and wires if necessary.
- Plug the T-Connector into the mating plug on the taillamp socket and the vehicle’s wiring harness.
- Secure the connectors with the red locking tab (Fig. 3).

Place the rubber grommet over the T-Connector wiring and reseat it into the grommet hole.

Locate a suitable grounding point near the taillamp opening.
- Drill a 3/32" hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.
- Caution: Do not drill into exposed surfaces.

Secure the black converter box and trailer wiring with double-sided tape or cable ties.
- Alternatively, mount the converter using the provided screw and mounting tab to prevent damage or rattling.
- Note: Place the converter box inside the jack storage compartment.

Test the installation with a circuit tester or trailer.

Reinstall all trim panels removed during the process.
-
Replace the taillamp housing, positioning the wire harness between the housing and the vehicle body.

Store the 4-flat connector in the jack storage compartment when not in use.

Remove the Driver’s Side Rear Taillamp Housing:
- Slide the red locking tab on the harness connector to the unlocked position.
- Disconnect the wire harness from the taillamp sockets.

Expose the Vehicle’s Wiring Harness and Grommet:
- Pull the vehicle’s wiring harness and rubber grommet slightly out on the driver’s side.

Modify the Grommet:
- Using a utility knife, slit the grommet from the hole where the vehicle wiring passes through to the outside edge (Fig. 2).
- Unwrap or remove the tape around the grommet tabs or cut off the tabs holding the wires.

Access the Jack Storage Compartment:
- Open the vehicle’s jack storage cover on the driver’s side.
- Partially remove the driver’s side rear trim panel.
- Peel back the black tape covering a hole on the vehicle body panel if necessary.

Route and Connect the T-Connector:
- Push the T-Connector’s end through the jack storage compartment and out to the driver’s side rear taillamp opening.
- Reposition the tape over the hole and wires if necessary.
- Plug the T-Connector into the mating plug on the taillamp socket and the vehicle’s wiring harness.
- Secure the connectors with the red locking tab (Fig. 3).

Reseat the Grommet:
- Place the rubber grommet over the T-Connector wiring and reseat it into the grommet hole.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the taillamp opening.
- Drill a 3/32" hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.
- Caution: Do not drill into exposed surfaces.

Secure the Converter Box and Wiring:
- Use double-sided tape or cable ties to secure the black converter box and trailer wiring.
- Alternatively, mount the converter using the provided screw and mounting tab to prevent damage or rattling.
- Note: Place the converter box inside the jack storage compartment.
