- Replace any bent, broken, or worn parts before use.
- All welding must be performed by an AWS-certified welder.
Tools Required:
- Torque wrench
- Ratchet set
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Direct Mount to Load-Bearing Member:
- Welding must be performed by an AWS-certified welder.
- Place three 2-inch-long 1/4” fillet welds on both sides of the jack along the contacting surface. Space the welds as far apart as possible for maximum load strength.
- For tandem applications, align the jacks carefully to ensure they raise and lower together while equally sharing the load.
Weld-On Pivot Tube Mounting:
- Weld the non-beveled side of the pivot tube to the trailer tongue using a 1/4” fillet weld.
- Align the pivot mount holes vertically and secure the jack to the pivot tube with the supplied pin.
Drop Leg Operation:
Spring Return Drop Leg:
- Ensure the jack is not supporting any load.
- Place your foot on the footplate to control the return of the drop leg.
- Rotate the drop leg pin to disengage it, then carefully move the leg to the desired position.
- Re-engage the drop leg pin and ensure it is fully seated without clearance.
Non-Spring Return Drop Leg:
- Ensure the jack is not supporting any load.
- Grasp the handle of the footplate to control the drop leg's descent.
- Rotate the drop leg pin to disengage it, then move the leg to the desired position.
- Re-engage the drop leg pin and verify it is fully seated without clearance.
Maintenance:
- Lubricate the gears, bushings, and screw annually with automotive grease.
- For side-wind models, use a grease gun at the lubrication points near the input shaft.
- Apply lightweight oil to the input shaft bushings and drop leg pin assembly.
- Keep all components clean and free from debris.
Safety Notes:
- Fully retract and rotate the jack before towing.
- Keep clear of pinch points during operation.
- Never adjust the drop leg while the jack is under load.
