Installation Instructions for 12,000 lb. Square Tube Jack
General Installation Notes:
- Ensure the product is installed following these instructions without any alterations or modifications.
- Do not position any body parts under the product or the load being supported.
- Fully retract and/or rotate the jack before towing.
- Verify the drop leg pin is fully inserted before using the jack.
- Block wheels to prevent movement when operating the jack or coupling the trailer.
- Never exceed the maximum rated capacity. Refer to the stamped markings or decals for the capacity rating.
- Avoid excessive side forces to prevent jack failure.
- Replace any bent, broken, or worn parts before use.
- Install only on flat surfaces.
- All welding must be performed by an AWS-certified welder.
Tools Required:
- Torque wrench
- Ratchet set
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Direct Mount to Load-Bearing Member:
- All welding must be performed by an AWS-certified welder.
- Apply three 2-inch-long 1/4” fillet welds on both sides of the jack along the contacting surface. Space the welds as far apart as possible for maximum strength.
- For tandem applications, carefully align the jacks to ensure they raise and lower together while sharing the load equally.
Weld-On Pivot Tube Mounting:
- Weld the non-beveled side of the pivot tube to the trailer tongue using a 1/4” fillet weld.
- Align the pivot mount holes vertically.
- Attach the jack to the pivot tube and secure it with the supplied pin.
Drop Leg Operation:
Spring Return Drop Leg:
- Ensure the jack is not supporting any load.
- If extended, place your foot on the footplate to control the drop leg's return.
- Rotate the drop leg pin to disengage, and move the leg to the desired position using your foot.
- Rotate the pin back to engage it fully into the adjustment hole.
- Verify there is no clearance between the pin and housing.
Non-Spring Return Drop Leg:
- Ensure the jack is not supporting any load.
- Grasp the handle of the footplate to control the drop leg's descent.
- Rotate the drop leg pin to disengage, and move the leg to the desired position.
- Rotate the pin back to engage it fully into the adjustment hole.
- Verify there is no clearance between the pin and housing.
Maintenance:
- Lubricate the gears, bushings, and screw annually with automotive grease.
- Apply lightweight oil to the input shaft bushings and drop leg pin assembly.
- Keep all components clean and free of debris.
Safety Notes:
- Fully retract and rotate the jack before towing.
- Keep clear of pinch points and drop leg holes during operation.
- Never adjust the drop leg while the jack is under load.

- Coverage: 1 year against defects in material and workmanship under normal use.
