Step-by-Step Instructions:

Raise Hitch:
- Lift the hitch into position on the vehicle.

Install Fasteners:
- Attach the hitch to the existing weldnuts in the frame rails using the provided bolts and washers.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Torque all M12 CL10.9 fasteners to 92 Lb.-Ft. (125 N*M) using a torque wrench.
Hardware List:
- (6) M12 x 1.25 x 40mm CL10.9 Bolts
- (6) 1/2” Conical Washers
Safety Notes:
- Regularly inspect all fasteners and the hitch ball to ensure proper tightening.
- If the hitch is removed, plug any holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent water and exhaust fumes from entering.

Installation Instructions for T-Connector Adapter for Pontiac Vibe

Wiring Access Location:
- Inside the rear cargo area, behind the access panels on both sides.
Tools Required:
- Drill with 3/32" drill bit.
- Philips head screwdriver.
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Access Vehicle Wiring:
- Open the rear tailgate and remove the cargo nets and cargo floor hatch to access the spare tire area.
- Unscrew the nut holding the spare tire cover in place and remove the cover. Set aside all removed items carefully to avoid damage.
- Remove the access panel doors on both sides to access the vehicle’s wiring connectors.

Locate the Taillight Wiring Harness:
- On both the driver’s and passenger’s sides of the vehicle, locate the vehicle’s taillight wiring harness.
- This harness will have a connection point matching the ends of the T-Connector.
- Carefully separate the connectors, ensuring no damage to the locking tabs. Clean the connector surfaces if necessary.

Driver’s Side Connection:
- Locate the access hole between the spare tire and the rear threshold.
- Route the T-Connector end with the yellow wire, as well as the end with the brown and red wires, up through the access hole to the driver’s side access panel.
- Attach both ends of the T-Connector to the driver’s side wiring harness, ensuring the connectors are fully inserted and secured with locking tabs.

Passenger’s Side Connection:
- Route the T-Connector end with the green wire to the passenger’s side.
- Repeat the steps for connecting the T-Connector to the passenger’s side wiring harness.

Ground Connection:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connectors.

- Drill a 3/32" hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.
- Caution: Avoid drilling into any exposed surfaces and verify what is behind the surface before drilling.

Mount the Converter Box:
- Secure the T-Connector black box using the provided double-sided tape.
- Use cable ties to secure the remaining harness, ensuring it is not in areas where it could be pinched, cut, or melted.
