Installation Time:

• Estimated: 45 minutes (for professional installers)

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Remove Underbody Panel:

   • Remove nine (9) M8 fasteners, five (5) M10 nuts, and two (2) plastic push-on fasteners.
   • Use a flat head screwdriver to unscrew the fasteners while pulling down on the panel.
   • Set the panel aside.

2. Lower Exhaust:

   • Using exhaust removal pliers, pry off the two (2) rearmost rubber exhaust hangers.
   • Spray the hangers with soapy water for easier removal.
   • Support the exhaust system to prevent damage.

3. Remove Heat Shield:

   • Remove two (2) M10 nuts, including one located above the muffler.
   • Set the heat shield aside.

4. Fishwire Rearward Bolts:

   • Use the fishwire method to install carriage bolts and 2-inch spacer blocks through the access hole and into the rearward attachment holes.
   • Ensure the blocks do not overlap and leave pull wires attached.

5. Fishwire Forward Bolts:

   • Use the reverse fishwire method to install carriage bolts and 3-inch spacer blocks into the forward attachment holes.
   • Leave pull wires attached.

6. Install Hitch:

   • Raise the hitch into position, starting with the passenger side over the muffler.
   • Guide the fishwire ends through the hitch attachment holes.
   • Remove the pull wires and install conical washers (teeth side toward the hitch) and 1/2" hex nuts onto the carriage bolts.
   • Ensure no wires or other components are pinched between the hitch and the vehicle frame.

7. Tighten Fasteners:

   • Tighten all 1/2"-13 GR5 fasteners to 75 lb-ft (102 N*m) using a torque wrench.

8. Trim Heat Shield:

   • Trim the heat shield as shown in the instructions (refer to Figure 2).
   • Reinstall the remaining portion of the heat shield.

9. Reinstall Exhaust Hangers:

   • Raise the exhaust back into position and reattach all hangers.

10. Trim Underbody Panel:

    • Trim the underbody panel as specified in Figure 3.
    • Reinstall the panel.

Torque Specifications:

• 1/2"-13 GR5 bolts: 75 lb-ft (102 N*m)

Hardware List:

• (6) Carriage Bolts, 1/2"-13 x 1.75" GR5
• (6) Conical Washers, 1/2"
• (2) Spacer Blocks, 1/4" x 1" x 3"
• (4) Spacer Blocks, 1/4" x 1" x 2"
• (6) Hex Nuts, 1/2"-13 GR5
• (6) Pull Wires, 1/2"

Safety Notes:

• Frequently check the hitch to ensure all fasteners and the ball are securely tightened.
• If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent water or exhaust fumes from entering.
• Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
• Observe safety precautions when working beneath the vehicle and wear eye protection.
• Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.

Installation Instructions for T-One® T-Connector for Chrysler Pacifica

• Trim Panel Remover
• 10mm Socket & Ratchet or 10mm Wrench
• 8mm Socket & Ratchet or 8mm Wrench
• Torx T27 Socket & Ratchet or Torx T27 Wrench
• Drill (3/32” Drill Bit)
• 1/4” Socket
• Wire Crimpers
• Wire Cutters
• Phillips Head Screwdriver
• Test Probe

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Remove the Taillights:

   • Open the rear tailgate to access the bolts securing the taillights.
   • Using a Torx T27 socket or wrench, remove the taillights on both the driver and passenger sides.
   • Carefully pull the taillights away from the vehicle without damaging the alignment pins.

2. Disconnect the Wiring Harness:

   • Disconnect the vehicle wiring harness from both taillight sockets.
   • Ensure connectors are clean and free of dirt, taking care not to damage the locking tabs.

3. Mount the Black Box:

   • Underneath the vehicle, partially remove the underbody trim panel by removing the 8mm and 10mm bolts.
   • Determine a suitable mounting point behind the rear bumper fascia on the driver’s side.
   • Mount the T-One® Connector black box using the provided double-sided tape.

   Warning: Ensure the module’s epoxy side faces downward to prevent water accumulation.

4. Connect the Driver-Side T-Connector:

   • Route the T-Connector end with the yellow wire up between the bumper and vehicle body into the taillight pocket.
   • Plug the T-Connector end with the yellow wire between the driver-side taillight socket and the vehicle’s wiring harness.

5. Route the Passenger-Side T-Connector:

   • Route the T-Connector end with the green wire to the passenger’s side, and the 4-flat connector underneath the bumper.
   • Route the green wire up into the passenger taillight pocket and connect it as in Step 4.

6. Ground the White Wire:

   • Locate a suitable grounding point near the driver-side connectors.
   • Drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.

   Caution: Verify the area behind the surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury.

7. Connect the Power Wire:

   • Locate the black 12-gauge power wire from the T-One® Connector black box.
   • Attach the provided black 12-gauge wire and route it along the vehicle’s frame or existing wiring to the engine compartment, avoiding areas that may pinch, cut, or break the wire.

8. Connect to the Battery:

   • Disconnect the vehicle’s Negative (-) battery cable.
   • Attach the ring terminal to the Positive (+) battery cable and secure it.
   • Connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black 12-gauge wire using the yellow butt connector.

9. Reconnect the Battery and Test:

   • Reconnect the vehicle’s Negative (-) battery cable.
   • Install the 15-amp fuse into the fuse holder.
   • Test the installation with a test light or trailer.

10. Secure the Wiring Harness:

    • Use the provided cable ties to secure the T-One® Connector harness, avoiding areas that may pinch, cut, or melt the wire.

11. Reassemble the Vehicle:

    • Reinstall the taillight assemblies, trim panels, and other removed components, ensuring no wires are pinched or damaged.

12. Store the 4-Flat Connector:

    • Mount the 4-flat connector in an accessible location using a bracket or electrical box (not included).

Specifications:

• Max. stop/turn light: 2 per side (4.2 amps)
• Max. tail lights: 7.5 amps
