If you have an RV Fifth Wheel or any other large type of trailer you will us a 7 pin trailer plug to control your electric trailer brakes. Tekonsha offers 7 pin trailer connector as well. Simply do a search above to see if there is a 7 wire trailer wiring available for hooking up your 7 way. If there is not you can use part number 85343 trailer wiring adapter to convert any 4-Flat into a 7-Way. In addition you will use part number 20506 which will include the rest of wiring needed for electric brake controls. Installation Instructions for T-One® T-Connector for Impreza Sedan
Part Numbers:

- Trim Panel Remover
- Drill (3/32” Drill Bit)
- 1/4” Socket
- Wire Crimpers
- Wire Cutters
- 10mm Socket & Ratchet or 10mm Wrench
- Test Probe
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Open Rear Door and Access Panels:
- Open the rear door and temporarily remove the rear threshold, cargo net, and cargo cover.

Partially Remove Interior Trim Panels:
- Remove the rear interior trim panels on both the driver and passenger sides. Several trim panel fasteners will need to be removed.

Connect the Driver-Side T-Connector:
- Locate the vehicle’s wiring connectors behind the driver-side taillight.
- Disconnect the wiring connectors carefully, ensuring not to damage the locking tabs.
- Attach the T-Connector with yellow and brown wires to the connectors.
- Ensure all connections are fully inserted with locking tabs in place.

Route the Passenger-Side T-Connector:
- Route the green wire T-Connector below the threshold cover to the passenger-side taillight housing.
- Repeat Step 3 using the green wire T-Connector.

Mount the Black Box:
- On the driver’s side, mount the T-One® T-Connector’s black box using the provided double-sided tape.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the driver’s side connectors.
- Drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire with the provided eyelet and screw.
Caution:
- Verify the area behind before drilling to avoid damage or injury. Do not drill into exposed surfaces.

Connect the Power Wire:
- Attach the black 12-gauge wire to the red wire from the T-One® black box using the supplied yellow butt connector.

Route the Power Wire:
- Route the black wire through a grommet and along the exterior frame or follow existing wiring along the thresholds into the engine compartment up to the battery.
- Avoid areas that could pinch, cut, or break the wire.
Warning:
- Do not route the wire near hot pipes, heat shields, or fuel tanks.

Connect to the Battery:
- Disconnect the vehicle’s negative (-) battery cable.
- Remove the fuse from the yellow fuse holder.
- Attach the ring terminal to the positive (+) battery cable and connect the other end to the black wire using the yellow butt connector.
- Insert the 10-amp fuse into the fuse holder.
Warning:
- Follow all warnings and cautions printed on the vehicle’s battery.

Reconnect the Battery:
- Reconnect the vehicle’s negative (-) battery cable.
- Test the system with a test light or trailer to verify functionality.

Secure the Harness:
- Use the provided cable ties to secure the T-One® T-Connector harness.
- Avoid areas where wires could pinch, cut, or melt.

Reassemble the Vehicle:
- Reinstall the trim panels, threshold, storage covers, floor covering, and other items removed during installation.
- Ensure no wires are pinched or damaged.

Store the 4-Flat Connector:
- Store the 4-flat connector in the trunk area when not in use.
- Avoid pinching the harness in the door latch.
