Installation Instructions for T-One® T-Connector for Impreza Sedan

Tools Required:

• Trim Panel Remover
• Drill (3/32” Drill Bit)
• 1/4” Socket
• Wire Crimpers
• Wire Cutters
• 10mm Socket & Ratchet or 10mm Wrench
• Test Probe

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Open Rear Door and Access Panels:

   • Open the rear door and temporarily remove the rear threshold, cargo net, and cargo cover.

2. Partially Remove Interior Trim Panels:

   • Remove the rear interior trim panels on both the driver and passenger sides. Several trim panel fasteners will need to be removed.

3. Connect the Driver-Side T-Connector:

   • Locate the vehicle’s wiring connectors behind the driver-side taillight.
   • Disconnect the wiring connectors carefully, ensuring not to damage the locking tabs.
   • Attach the T-Connector with yellow and brown wires to the connectors.
   • Ensure all connections are fully inserted with locking tabs in place.

4. Route the Passenger-Side T-Connector:

   • Route the green wire T-Connector below the threshold cover to the passenger-side taillight housing.
   • Repeat Step 3 using the green wire T-Connector.

5. Mount the Black Box:

   • On the driver’s side, mount the T-One® T-Connector’s black box using the provided double-sided tape.

6. Ground the White Wire:

   • Locate a suitable grounding point near the driver’s side connectors.
   • Drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire with the provided eyelet and screw.

   Caution:

   • Verify the area behind before drilling to avoid damage or injury. Do not drill into exposed surfaces.

7. Connect the Power Wire:

   • Attach the black 12-gauge wire to the red wire from the T-One® black box using the supplied yellow butt connector.

8. Route the Power Wire:

   • Route the black wire through a grommet and along the exterior frame or follow existing wiring along the thresholds into the engine compartment up to the battery.
   • Avoid areas that could pinch, cut, or break the wire.

   Warning:

   • Do not route the wire near hot pipes, heat shields, or fuel tanks.

9. Connect to the Battery:

   • Disconnect the vehicle’s negative (-) battery cable.
   • Remove the fuse from the yellow fuse holder.
   • Attach the ring terminal to the positive (+) battery cable and connect the other end to the black wire using the yellow butt connector.
   • Insert the 10-amp fuse into the fuse holder.

   Warning:

   • Follow all warnings and cautions printed on the vehicle’s battery.

10. Reconnect the Battery:

    • Reconnect the vehicle’s negative (-) battery cable.
    • Test the system with a test light or trailer to verify functionality.

11. Secure the Harness:

    • Use the provided cable ties to secure the T-One® T-Connector harness.
    • Avoid areas where wires could pinch, cut, or melt.

12. Reassemble the Vehicle:

    • Reinstall the trim panels, threshold, storage covers, floor covering, and other items removed during installation.
    • Ensure no wires are pinched or damaged.

13. Store the 4-Flat Connector:

    • Store the 4-flat connector in the trunk area when not in use.
    • Avoid pinching the harness in the door latch.
