Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Tie-Down Brackets:
- If present, remove the tie-down brackets from the vehicle frame rail.
- Return bolts and tie-down brackets to the vehicle owner.

Remove Fascia Door (Equinox Only):
- Remove the fascia door.

Position the Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position, lifting the bumper mounting bracket over the fascia where needed.
- Secure the hitch using M12 bolts and conical washers into the existing weld nuts.

Saturn Vue Specific Step:
- Pull the 1/2"-13 carriage bolts and small blocks through the end of the bumper using the pull wire.
- Feed the bolts through the bumper mounting bracket and secure with conical washers and hex nuts, as shown in Figure 1.

Equinox and Torrent Specific Step:
- Install M12 bolts and conical washers through the bumper mounting bracket into the existing weld nuts in the bumper, as shown in Figure 2.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Tighten all 1/2"-13 GR5 fasteners to 75 ft-lb (102 N*m).
- Tighten all M12 CL8.8 fasteners to 68 ft-lb (92 N*m).

Reinstall Fascia Door (Equinox Only):
- Replace the fascia door.

- (6) Hex Bolt, M12 x 1.75 CL8.8
- (2) Hex Nut, 1/2"-13
- (6) Conical Washer, M12
- (2) Conical Washer, 1/2"
- (2) Block, 1.5" x 2"
- (2) Carriage Bolt, 1/2"-13 x 2"

Safety Notes:
- Frequently check the hitch to ensure all fasteners and the ball are securely tightened.
- If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent water or exhaust fumes from entering.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
- Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Locate the Vehicle’s Harness Area:
- Open the rear tailgate and locate the vehicle’s jack storage compartment on the driver’s side.
- Remove the panel and tire jack to access the harness area.

Find the Trailer Harness Connector:
- Inside the driver’s side jack compartment, locate the vehicle’s trailer harness connector.
- This is a 6-pin connector taped to the vehicle’s wiring harness near the floor of the jack compartment.

Install the T-Connector:
- Remove the tape on the vehicle’s 6-pin connector.
- Plug the T-Connector into the vehicle’s trailer plug harness.
- Ensure the T-Connector is fully inserted with locking tabs in place.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as the vehicle’s frame or crossmember.
- Clean the grounding area to remove dirt and rustproofing.
- Drill a 3/32" hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.
Caution:
- Verify what is behind any surface prior to drilling to avoid damage to the vehicle or personal injury.
- Do not drill into exposed surfaces.
