Step-by-Step Instructions:

Lower Exhaust:
- Remove rubber hangers from hanger brackets to lower the exhaust.
- If the vehicle has dual exhaust, lower both sides.

Insert Fasteners into Frame Rails:
- Fishwire 1/2"-13 x 1 1/4" carriage bolts and blocks through the access slots in the vehicle's frame rail and align them with the holes, on both sides.

Insert Fasteners into Cross Member:
- Fishwire 1/2"-13 x 1 3/4" carriage bolts and blocks through the access holes in the cross member and down through the corresponding holes in the cross member.

Install Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position.
- Secure the hitch using conical toothed washers and hex nuts as shown in the diagrams.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Use a torque wrench to tighten all 1/2"-13 Grade 5 fasteners to 75 ft-lb (102 N*m).

- (4) Carriage Bolt, 1/2"-13 x 1 1/4"
- (2) Carriage Bolt, 1/2"-13 x 1 3/4"
- (6) Block, 1/4" x 1" x 3"

Installation Instructions for T-Connector Adapter

- Trim Panel Remover
- Drill with 3/32” Drill Bit
- 1/4" Socket
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Access the Passenger-Side Taillight Assembly:
- Open the trunk and remove the passenger-side taillight assembly.
- Use a trim panel tool to carefully pry the threshold plate away from the vehicle, ensuring not to damage any clips.
- Pull back the carpet on the passenger side to expose the plastic wing nuts for the taillight.
- Remove the wing nuts and carefully pull the taillight away from the vehicle, ensuring not to damage the alignment pins.

Connect the T-Connector:
- Disconnect the wiring harness at the plugs located in the taillight pocket.
- Ensure the mating surfaces of the vehicle wiring connectors match the T-Connector ends. Clean all connector surfaces of dirt if necessary.
- Plug the T-Connector between the vehicle's connectors, ensuring the locking tabs are fully secured.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as an existing ground stud.
- If needed, drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.
- Caution: Verify what is behind the surface before drilling to avoid vehicle damage or personal injury. Do not drill into exposed surfaces.

Route the T-Connector Harness:
- Route the T-Connector end with the 4-flat connector down through the taillight pocket between the bumper and body, toward the center of the bumper.
- Secure the wires with the provided cable ties, avoiding areas that could pinch, cut, or melt the wires.

Reinstall Components:
- Reinstall the taillight housing assemblies, positioning the vehicle wiring harness between the housing and the vehicle body.
- Reattach the plastic wing nuts, carpet, threshold, and any other components removed during installation, ensuring no wires are pinched or cut.

- Verify the T-Connector functionality using a test light or trailer.
- Ensure all connections are complete for the T-Connector to function properly.
