Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Plastic Rivets:
- Remove the two plastic rivets securing the fascia tabs to the vehicle and trunk pan using a flat-head screwdriver. Retain rivets for reinstallation.

Remove Tail Lights and Gasket:
- Open the trunk and remove the plastic cover discs over the screws attaching the tail lights and fascia. Use a 10mm socket to remove the fasteners. Remove the lower trunk gasket.
- Gently push rearward on the tail lights while pulling outward to remove. Disconnect wiring and set aside.

Remove Lower Rear Fascia:
- Remove two Phillips screws in the wheel wells on both sides and one screw on each side at the lower attachment points. Carefully separate the lower fascia from the side panels by gently pulling upward.

Remove Bumper:
- Use a 12mm socket to remove six bolts securing the bumper. Bend the bumper hanger support to a 90-degree angle for clearance.

Install Hitch:
- Hang the U-bolt on the tow hook. Raise the hitch onto the bumper support on the end panel. Reinstall the original bolts and secure the hitch in place. Install the remaining fastener on the tow hook.

Tighten Fasteners:
- Torque M8 fasteners to 20 Lb.-Ft. (27 N*M).
- Torque 3/8" GR5 fasteners to 30 Lb.-Ft. (41 N*M).

Trim Fascia:
- Locate the center of the lower panel and trim a 3-3/4” x 3-3/4” section for clearance. Round the corners for a smooth finish.

Reinstall Components:
- Reinstall all fasteners, fascia, and tail lights removed in previous steps.
Hardware List:
- (1) U-Bolt: 3/8"-16 GR5
- (2) Conical Washers: 3/8"
- (2) Hex Nuts: 3/8"-16
Safety Notes:
- Regularly inspect all fasteners and the hitch ball to ensure they remain securely tightened.
- If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or body panels to prevent water or exhaust fumes from entering.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
- Always observe safety precautions and wear eye protection while working beneath the vehicle.
- Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
