Installation Instructions for T-Connector Adapter

Tools Required:
- 10mm Socket & Ratchet or 10mm Wrench
- Trim Panel Remover
- Drill with a 3/32” Drill Bit

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Prepare the Vehicle:
- Open the tailgate and remove the cargo door on the floor.
- Carefully remove the floor trim panels and access panels on each side of the vehicle.
- Set aside all items removed to avoid damage.

Locate the Taillight Wiring Harness:
- On both the driver’s and passenger’s sides, locate the vehicle's taillight wiring harness inside the access panel area.
- The harness will have a connection point matching the T-Connector ends.
- Separate the connectors carefully, ensuring not to break the locking tabs.
- Clean all connector surfaces of dirt.

Install the Driver-Side T-Connector:
- Insert the T-Connector end with the yellow wire between the vehicle wiring connectors on the driver’s side.
- Lock into place, ensuring the connectors are fully inserted and the locking tabs are secure.

Route the Passenger-Side T-Connector:
- Route the T-Connector end with the green wire through the trim panel access hole, across the threshold, and through the passenger trim panel access hole.
- Repeat Step 3 on the passenger’s side using the T-Connector harness with the green wire.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as the vehicle's frame or crossmember.
- Clean the grounding area to remove dirt and rustproofing.
- Drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.
Caution:
- Verify what is behind the surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury.
- Do not drill into exposed surfaces.

Connect the Power Cable:
- Locate the power cable stud on the driver’s side.
- Using a wrench or socket, remove the nut and place the ring terminal with the yellow wire on the stud.
- Replace the nut and tighten.
- Install the 10-amp fuse into the fuse holder.

Mount the T-Connector Black Box:
- Clean a flat area in the driver’s side storage area with rubbing alcohol and water.
- Mount the T-Connector black box using the provided double-sided tape.

Secure the Harness:
- Use the provided cable ties to secure the remaining T-Connector harness to prevent damage or rattling.
- Avoid areas that could pinch, cut, or melt the wire.

Reassembly:
- Replace both access panels, floor trim panels, and the cargo door removed during installation.

Test the Installation:
- Verify the T-Connector functionality with a test light or trailer.
- Ensure all connections are complete for the T-Connector to function properly.
