Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the Vehicle
- Ensure the vehicle is off, and the keys are removed from the ignition.
Step 2: Locate the Vehicle’s Electric Brake Control Harness
- Locate the vehicle’s electric brake control harness connector:
- It is found underneath the dashboard.
- Pull back the carpet behind the brake pedal to expose the connector.
- The connector will be a 4-pin plug that matches the adapter’s connector.
Step 3: Connect the Brake Control Adapter
- CAUTION:
- Plug the adapter into the backside of the brake controller before connecting it to the vehicle harness.
- Plug the brake control adapter into the vehicle’s electric brake control harness connector.
- Follow the brake control manufacturer’s instructions for wiring and mounting the unit.
Step 4: Route the Adapter
- Identify a suitable routing path for the adapter to exit through the bottom of the dashboard.
- Ensure the adapter’s wiring avoids any:
- Airbag deployment zones
- Sharp edges or pinch points that could damage the wire.
Step 5: Complete the Installation
- Complete the installation per the brake control manufacturer’s instructions.
- Mount the brake controller securely as directed.
- Perform all test procedures outlined in the brake controller manual to confirm proper operation.

- Overloading the Circuit Can Cause Fires:
- DO NOT exceed the lower of:
