Installation Instructions for Chevrolet Full-Size Pickup and GMC Full-Size Pickup (All Models)

• Wrenches: 7/8", 13mm, 18mm, 19mm
• Drill Bits: None

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Remove Existing Bolts:

   • Remove and discard the M12 hex bolts from the end of each frame rail if present.

2. Remove Ground Wire:

   • Detach the ground wire and ground wire bolt from the driver’s side frame rail if present.

3. Position Receiver:

   • Lift the receiver into position, aligning the slots in the receiver with the weldnuts in the vehicle frame.
   • For vehicles without a bumper, align the slot in the receiver with the fore/aft slot near the end of the frame.

4. Install Fasteners:

   • Install the M12 hex bolts (supplied) and conical washers through the receiver into the weldnuts in the vehicle frame.
   • Install the remaining fasteners as shown in the instructions.

5. Reinstall Ground Wire:

   • Secure the ground wire and ground wire bolt to the hole in the side of the receiver side bracket.

6. Spacer Installation for 6' Beds:

   • On 6' bed models with heavy-duty suspension, position the spacer (Item 3) at the forward-most attachment on the driver’s side to ensure clearance of rivets. The spacer must sit flat on the frame.

Torque Specifications:

• Tighten all M12 CL10.9 fasteners to 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N*M).
• Tighten all 1/2"-13 GR5 fasteners to 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N*M).

• (2) Hex Nuts: M12 x 1.75
• (4) Hex Bolts: 1/2"-13 x 1.75"
• (4) Lock Washers: 1/2"
• (4) Hex Nuts: 1/2"-13
• (4) Flat Washers: 1/2"
• (4) Conical Washers: 1/2"
• (2) Spacers: 0.188" x 1.50" x 2.00"
• (4) Spacers: 0.250" x 1.50" x 2.00"

Safety Notes:

• Regularly check the hitch to ensure all fasteners and the hitch ball are properly tightened.
• If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the frame or body panels to prevent water and exhaust fumes from entering.
• Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.
• Always observe safety precautions when working under a vehicle, and wear eye protection.
• Do not use a torch to cut access or attachment holes.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Remove Existing Bolts:

   • Remove and discard the M12 hex bolts from the end of each frame rail if present.

   • Detach the ground wire and ground wire bolt from the driver’s side frame rail if present.
