Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Remove Factory Bolts:
- Use a 21mm socket to remove the (2) existing factory M14 bolts from the frame on both sides of the vehicle.
- Set the fasteners aside for reinstallation.
2. Install Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position and loosely secure it to the vehicle frame using the factory bolts.
3. Tighten Fasteners:
- Use a torque wrench to tighten all M14 fasteners to 115 lb-ft (156 N·m).
For Vehicles with Dual Exhaust Systems:

Remove the exhaust hanger bracket:
- Use a 15mm socket to remove the bracket on the driver side.
- Remove the hardware from the passenger side exhaust hanger bracket but leave the bracket on the exhaust hanger.

Remove the driver-side exhaust bezel:
- Use a 10mm socket to remove (3) hex bolts securing the driver-side exhaust bezel.
- Set the bezel aside for reinstallation.

Remove factory bolts:
- Follow the same process as Step 1 to remove the (2) factory M14 bolts from both sides.

Install the hitch:
- Follow the same process as Step 2, moving the exhaust out of the way if necessary.

Tighten all M14 fasteners:
- Use a torque wrench to tighten all bolts to 115 lb-ft (156 N·m).

Reinstall Exhaust and Bezel:
- Reattach the exhaust hanger brackets and the bezel removed earlier.
Safety Notes:
- Regularly inspect all fasteners to ensure the hitch and ball mount are securely attached.
- If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or body panels to prevent water or exhaust entry.
- Replace any damaged hitch or ball immediately.

Installation Instructions for 7-Way Flat Pin Connector / 4-Flat Combo Adapter Harness

Mounting Bracket Instructions:
- Determine a suitable mounting point on the tow vehicle for the connector or use an existing mount. Ensure the trailer’s wire harness has sufficient length to reach this point.
- Secure the mounting bracket on the rear of the tow vehicle or to the plate attached to the hitch cross tube using the self-tapping screws provided.
- Caution: Do not drill into the hitch cross tube to avoid damage to the hitch or personal injury. Do not drill into any exposed surfaces. Refer to the hitch owner’s manual or instruction sheet for recommendations and limitations.
Socket Instructions:
- Install the 7-way Blade Socket (connector) onto the mounting bracket using the screws and nuts provided.
- Plug the OEM factory-equipped car-end socket harness into the 7-way Blade Car Socket.
- Insert the 4-flat connector into the slot in the bracket.
- Tighten all screws securely.
