Installation Instructions for 2021-Current Toyota Sienna

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Remove Underbody Panel:
- Using a flat head screwdriver, remove three rivets from the passenger-side underbody panel.
- Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove two screws from the panel.
- Use a 10 mm socket to remove two bolts from the panel.
- Remove and set aside the underbody panel.

Clean Weldnuts:
- Use a flat head screwdriver to remove the plastic rivet covering on the weldnuts (three per side).
- Clean the weldnuts using a wire brush to remove debris or corrosion.

Install Hitch:
- Raise the hitch into position, aligning the mounting holes with the weldnut locations.
- Loosely install the following hardware:
- M12 bolts
- 1/2” conical washers (teeth side toward hitch)
- 1/2” lock washers
- 1/2” flat washers

Tighten Fasteners:
- Using a torque wrench, tighten all M12 fasteners to 76 ft-lbs (103 N*m).

Trim Underbody Panel:
- Measure and mark the underbody panel as shown in Figure 2 of the manual.
- Use a utility knife to trim the panel accordingly.

Reinstall Underbody Panel:
- Reinstall the underbody panel using the fasteners removed in Step 1, except for the rearmost two fasteners due to trimming.

Installation Instructions for T-One® T-Connector for Toyota Sienna

- Trim Panel Remover
- Drill (3/32” Drill Bit)

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Open the Rear Hatch:
- Temporarily remove the rear threshold plate, privacy screen, storage covers, and floor covering.
- Open the rear door and fold the rear seat forward.
- Remove all necessary trim panel fasteners to access the vehicle’s wiring. Set aside all items carefully.

Access the Driver-Side Wiring:
- Pull back the rear driver’s trim panel to access the vehicle’s harness.
-
Locate the 8-Pin Connector:
- On the driver’s side, locate the vehicle’s 8-pin connector near the floor, close to the rear seat.
- Insert the 8-Pin Tow-Plug Adapter into the connector and lock it in place.

Mount the Black Box:
- Mount the T-One® Connector black box on the driver’s side using the double-sided tape provided.
- Secure the remaining harness with the provided cable ties, avoiding areas that may cut or pinch the wire.

Ground the White Wire:
- Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector, such as the vehicle’s frame or crossmember.
- Clean the grounding area to remove dirt and rustproofing.
- Drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.
Caution: Verify the area behind any surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury. Do not drill into exposed surfaces.

- Ensure all connections are complete.
- Test the installation using a test light or trailer.
- Reset the vehicle’s electrical system by temporarily removing the key from the ignition.

Reinstall Trim Panels:

Store the 4-Flat Connector:
- Store the 4-flat connector in the rear cargo area when not in use.
- When in use, pull the 4-flat connector through the door and close it carefully.
