Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Remove Underbody Panel:

   • Using a flat head screwdriver, remove 6 plastic push rivets from the bottom of the underbody panel.
   • Use a 10 mm socket to remove 3 nuts securing the underbody panel, then set the panel aside.

2. Trim Underbody Panel and Lower Fascia:

   • Locate the center of the underbody panel and mark the area to be trimmed for the receiver. Refer to Figure 2.
   • Mark the center of the lower fascia and trim the area to fit the receiver. Refer to Figure 3.
   • Note: Ensure that no sensor wires are in the trimming area. Move them if necessary.

3. Install Hitch:

   • Remove any stickers covering the weldnut holes on the frame rail.
   • Clean the weldnuts with a wire brush if necessary.
   • Position the spacer plates (attached to the hitch) on the frame rail around the weldnut area.
   • Carefully raise the hitch into position, ensuring no wiring is damaged.
   • Align the attachment holes in the hitch with the spacer and weldnut holes.
   • Insert the supplied M12 bolts and conical washers (teeth side toward the hitch).

4. Tighten Fasteners:

   • Use a torque wrench to tighten all M12 fasteners to 76 ft-lbs (103 N*m).

5. Reinstall Trimmed Underbody Panel:

   • Reattach the trimmed underbody panel to the vehicle.

• (6) Bolt M12 x 1.25 x 50 mm CL10.9
• (6) Conical Washer 1/2"

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Installation Instructions for T-One® T-Connector for Kia EV6

• Trim Panel Remover
• Phillips Head Screwdriver
• 10mm Socket or Wrench
• Drill (3/32” Drill Bit)
• Wire Crimpers
• Wire Cutters
• Test Probe

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Open the Rear Hatch:

   • Fold down both rear seats and remove the floor covering, cargo trays, and threshold. Take care not to damage any locking tabs or pins.

2. Access the Vehicle’s Wiring:

   • Using a 10mm socket, remove the retaining bolts from both the driver’s and passenger’s side trim panels.
   • Remove the retaining screw from behind the rear seat latch release lever on both sides.

3. Expose the Taillight Wiring:

   • Pull back the side trim panels on both the driver’s and passenger’s sides to expose the vehicle’s taillight wiring connectors.

4. Disconnect the Vehicle Wiring Harness:

   • Locate the wiring connectors matching the T-One® Connector harness ends.
   • Disconnect the vehicle wiring harness from the taillight assemblies on both sides, being careful not to damage any locking tabs.

5. Connect the Driver-Side T-Connector:

   • Insert the T-One® Connector end with the yellow wire between the driver-side wiring connectors. Ensure the connectors are fully inserted and securely locked.

6. Mount the Black Box:

   • On the driver’s side, mount the T-One® Connector black box using the provided double-sided tape.
   • Secure the remainder of the T-One® Connector harness with the provided cable ties, avoiding areas that could cut or pinch the wire.

7. Ground the White Wire:

   • Locate a suitable grounding point near the black box, such as an existing ground stud, or drill a 3/32” hole.
   • Clean dirt and rustproofing from the area and secure the white wire using the provided eyelet and screw.

   Caution: Verify the area behind any surface before drilling to avoid damage or injury.

8. Route the Passenger-Side T-Connector:

   • Route the green wire connector along the threshold and behind the passenger’s side trim panel to the taillight pocket area.

9. Connect the Passenger-Side T-Connector:

   • Insert the T-One® Connector end with the green wire between the passenger-side wiring connectors. Ensure the connectors are fully inserted and securely locked.

10. Connect the Power Wire:

    • In the cargo area, connect the black 12-gauge wire to the black power wire located on the T-One® Connector black box using the provided yellow butt connector.

11. Route the Power Wire:

    • Starting from the rear cargo area on the driver’s side, route the black 12-gauge wire forward through the interior of the vehicle, behind the trim panels, and up under the driver’s side dashboard.

12. Access the Engine Compartment:

    • Locate an existing grommet in the firewall under the dashboard. Carefully slit the grommet and route the black wire into the engine compartment.

    Warning: Avoid routing the wire near hot pipes, heat shields, or the fuel tank.

13. Connect to the Vehicle Battery:

    • Open the front trunk storage compartment and remove the panel over the battery.
    • Disconnect the Negative (-) battery cable.
    • Attach the ring terminal to the Positive (+) battery cable.
    • Connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black 12-gauge wire using the yellow butt connector provided.

14. Reconnect the Battery and Test:

    • Reconnect the Negative (-) battery cable.
    • Install the 15-amp fuse into the fuse holder.
    • Test the installation using a test light or trailer.

15. Reassemble the Vehicle:

    • Replace all plastic trim panels, thresholds, and floor coverings removed during installation.
    • Ensure no wires are pinched or damaged.

16. Store the 4-Flat Connector:

    • Store the 4-flat connector in the rear cargo area when not in use. When in use, pull the connector out carefully to avoid pinching.

Step-by-Step Instructions:
